ok, so i am a christian and i was saved like when i was really young and I do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and that he was sent by God to die on the cross for our sins and everything. But lately, in I would say the last couple (as in 2) years, between school and friends and other things, I have not put God as my first priority I don't think. I mean, I still have been praying and talking to the Lord, but as far as reading the bible goes, I have not been at all.I don't remember a lot of verses xcept for the basic ones (John 3:16, Romans 3:23, and others). I want to put God back as my first priority and have him guide my life as I try to live for him so I would like to have some scriptures that i can look up. Please and thank u, and God Bless You as i pray he will bless me.

Remember the Lord is always waiting for you to come to Him with open arms. You are His beloved child. Read the parable of the lost son in Luke 15:11-32. Remember, that the Father rejoices over you too when you return to Him! There is singing in heaven as our Father celebrates the return of one of His own! Praise the Lord! You are in my prayers! May the Lord bless you and make His face shine on you!

Proverbs 3:5-6
Phillipians 4:8
Isaiah 40:31

We all occassionally go through a "dry spell". That is why we need a Savior every day. Don't be too hard on yourself. Keep praying and seeking the Lord and ask the Holy Spirit to keep you in check.

You are SO one the right track! Good for you. Here are some of my favorite texts which I am so glad to share with you.

Romans 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding."

Psalms 34:15 " The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their cry."

James 4:7,8 " Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you."

Psalm 32:8 " I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye."

Jeremiah 29:11-13 " For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you and expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and I will hearken unto you. And yes shall seek me, and find me, when ye search for me with all your heart."

Ok so you back slid, any time you feel you need to draw back to him you just repent and tell I am drifting and to keep you close and then start back reading his word... That's what it is all about reading it daily and getting a working knowledge of the faith and prayer principles... Read John to the end of the book and see what Jesus did and said and then go straight through to revelations everyday 6-10 chapters and you will feel his presence on you again!! It is only about 140 pages, and you will see his plan for your life, and when your done start over and read it again like eating a spiritual meal, his word, the hidden manna!

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Psalms 34:3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. 4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. 6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. 10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. 11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? 13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. 14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. 15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. 16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. 17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. 18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
