Romans 1:26-27:
"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence [sic] of their error which was meet."

That grouping of verses speaks about God's demand for personal holiness. When a person engages in sexual immorality or perverts God's design for our bodies He doesn't like it. He doesn't want us to think impure thoughts or engage in impure actions.

#1 - Simply means that God allows people to do what they choose. Even if it means they sink into total depravity.

#2 - I believe this addresses the conduct of Christians, warning them of behavior which is contrary to God's design.

#3 - Clothing styles change all the time. But, I believe this is talking about men and women being who and what they are. Besides, I look lousy in a pants-suit, anyway.

#4 - Much of what we deal with is a matter of the heart. What we dwell on is a matter of our hearts intent. When one looks at someone else lustfully, they are beginning to fantasize to the point of making scenarios, which can, if unchecked, build to plotting. It is the beginning of a downhill spiral, unless kept in check.

Nothing, don't forget that at the time of JC, not many people could read or write, so you have to take the stories with a major grain of salt. Don't forget, that in the bible, the protagonist is a murderer and the antagonist gave Adam and Eve knowledge... Which the protagonist subsequently punished them for gaining. So it really cant be about god.

Nothing for those versus meant different things from that time to present time.

You forgot to include a versus from the bible Exodus 35:2 clearly states that if a person works on the Sabbath you should smite them.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."-Lust is a sin. No wonder Christians are so uptight!

You would have to judge the authors of those passages on thier own merit or dismerit.

If I am correct, none of those passages is the direct word of God or his son.
(the 10 commandments would be an example of that or a dirct quote from Jesus)

It means that you are accountable for what you do with your genitals and that you should be responsible with them.

God created you for more than lust and sex. Most folks are too busy gratifying themselves sexually to know that tho.
