I am a Christian and am not particularly opposed to those horoscopes printed in the media, Most people treat them as a bit of fun and know that they are sufficiently vague as not to be taken too seriously. However, a few people do start taking them seriously and plan their lives around them. That 's when problems can begin especially when they prefer their predictions to the views of their nearest and dearest and even their employer. Some go into more detailed horoscopes which they have prepared for them at a price and become hooked on them. I am aware that some organisation determine their fiscal future on horoscopes. Addiction to horoscopes is when I bring Christian views into the picture.

I do not know for sure but it goes something like this. The horoscopes tells you the future by reading the stars but as a Christian we believe that only God knows the future. They are practiced together the reading of the stars and witchcraft. As for that Easter suit you have to blame the Catholic church for that. They took a pagan holy day and made it a Christian Holy Day.

Christians are opposed to Horoscopes because it IS Witchcraft, along with ALL the other forms of Divination. Christians use their OWN form of divination. I have seen MANY Christians use the Bible as a source of "mysticism". I have seen Christians take the bible, lightly drop it on the table and with their eyes closed place their finger on the open pages and use whichever verse that their finger lands on as a way for their God to answer a deep, meaningful question. That too, is a form of witchcraft. Now, the horoscope or the Tarot is merely one WAY that Witches can receive communication from their Deities. Christians have MORE in common with us Witches than even they realize. Think about it.

Not all Christians are. But most do believe deep diving into that area leads to wicthcraft. Most believe it leads to playing with demons and they don't even know it. It is dangerous.

I wish I knew why people just can't let people believe in what ever they choose without judging. I've known Christians that won't let there children celebrate Halloween while all the other kids are having a wonderful time. We are not meant to judge, we are meant to love one another. I know that might sound corny but it's God's Truth.

First, Wicca (witchcraft) is not the only religious group to understand how astrological influences can effect our day-to-day lives. Anyhow, christians are offended by horoscopes because, basically by acknowledging the accuracy of them, they are agreeing that their one god is not in absolute total control of everything, but there are other NATURAL influences that affect us. (plus, I do believe the bible says to shun astrologers... as well as "suffer ye not a witch to live" which is religious terrorism if I've ever heard it!)

It is simply a matter of 'dogma". In essence, most organized religions set forth foundational 'beliefs' that, if crossed, tend to undermine their particular 'tenets.' That is exactly what got Galileo is so much hot water! How dare he suggest that the world was not the center of the universe and that all celestial objects revolved around it alone! Blessings....

Horoscopes are a type of divination (up there with palmistry). Horoscopes take away the importance of using our agency wisely, instead blaming our circumstances on the position of the stars.

I am a Wicca and I believe that the bible states something about following the signs, sorcery, and such was witchcraft and not to fool with it like you will got to hell if you do.most people of my religion believe it was included in the bible to try and covert the pagans to Christianity. What it caused was having our sisters and brothers tortured and murdered in the witch trails. My family and probably most of yours have used the signs for ages to plant crops, wean babies, can food etc...My mother was a devoted Baptist and she went by the signs,The seventh child (old wives tale) was my baby sister, my mom would have her blow in babies mouths to cure thrush. So I will tell you one thing, not all Christians have closed minds.
(Many blessings)

I don't know why. But I do know that all Christians celebrate the three wise men from the East (prob. Saudi Arabia, muslims) that used astronomy and astrology to get to Bethlehem. You can't have it both ways. You know?
