My husband is 'stable' with Brain Cancer (Anaplastic Oligoastrocytoma) diagnosed after surgery in May 2005, has had chemo (clinical trial). He has some brain damage and epilepsy but is coping pretty well. He has 6 monthly MRI's and 3 monthly Oncology check up's. Apparently the median survival time is 3 years with 5 year survival rate at 36% and 10 year survival rate at 9% ... he handles it a lot better than me. I wonder why good people get diseases like this and murdering scum get to live a long life, there is no justice

I was diagnosed a little over 3 years ago when I was 29 with breast cancer. I was 8 months pregnant at the time, and was induced the following day. Since then I have done chemo, radiation, Tamoxifen, and Herceptin. I have had 2 ports, 4 other biopsies, 2 mastectomies, TRAM reconstruction, and I had my ovaries out last month. I am finally feeling like I just may live to see my grand kids.

Approximately one of three Americans will get cancer (of some type) in their lifetime. If we estimate that there are 400 million people in the USA then about 130 MILLION people alive in the US today have or will get cancer.
