Are you currently living together? If so, the cruise will give you lots of activities and fun with other people, while still creating some romantic moments. Plus you will be mini-celebrities on board and that can be fun.
If the main focus for your honeymoon is to explore each other, (wink, wink, you know what I mean), then definitely rent the condo so that you can set your own schedule, find the activities that suit you and not be distracted with lots of other people and things that are calling you away from your new spouse!!
Your honeymoon can be magical, just be sure you know what your true objectives are!!
Best wishes for many happy years together!!

These are both good choices. However; the beds on most cruise liners are small and cramped. Even the new Larger liners. Privacy is somewhat limited on the boat as well. Maui is a great place to visit with many sights. I think that the condo would provide you with more privacy and more comfortable amenities. Congratulations.
PS; #1 honeymoon location is Tahiti

Personally, i prefer the cruise, but for newlyweds, a condo in Maui would be better as you are able to do things such as sightseeing and dining at your own pace. On cruisees you usually have to go by their schedules and who knows one or both of you could get seasickness. Who needs that on a honeymoon. I observed a young couple on their honeymoon on a Disney cruise and she spent most of the time being sea sick!!! Not good!! Have a very happy and profitable life!!!! ardis j

Are you kidding? I love cruises, but you can go on a Caribbean cruise any day. They are fairly inexpensive and run frequently. The Caribbean islands are beautiful, but really nothing special. If you've seen one, you've seen them all.
I really doubt that once reality and life set in, you'll be springing for a condo in Maui. Seize the day and go for Maui, because you'll probably never have this opportunity again.
Happy life together!

I cruise according to annum on Royal Caribbean and can in no way think of losing interest. in certainty, i'm frequently bummed as a results of fact i did no longer have time to do each thing i had to do on the ships. The Voyager type ships have a mall, casino, action picture coach, ice rink, curler blading, mountain hiking, night club, cigar bar, English pub, ice cream parlor, etc etc etc. this is like a small city the place each thing there is meant on your entertainment. As for extra expenses, I in no way think of the spa fees are quite worth it. besides the shown fact that, for a honeymoon, it must be quite worth it to do the couples rub down. drinks and shore excursions are the only different issues you will pay for. you could actually music your spending on the television on your cabin so there is not any marvel on the top. Have a great trip!
