Is R&S a broken record?

Every single hour of the day you'll hear the same thing...
Jesus Christ is the only way! or Allah is the light! and neither pary gives any explanation of why we should believe them except for a Koran verse or a Bible verse. Why do they think this junk will convert us?

Unfortunately this is partly due to the format of Yahoo Answers. It's not designed for "discussion". Since people can only post a new question or answer an existing question, and since the rate of questions here is so frequent, it reads more like chat room. Because of this, everything is hard to moderate, and people post the same things over and over.

You don't really have this problem on message boards or email lists, for example. They tend to be much more moderated as far as internet forums go, and additionally have FAQ lists (in hopes of clearing away mundane questions to have room for deeper conversation), plus enough time for threads to hang around so that you don't see duplicates.

I think most people of Faith want to share their good life and beliefs with others. Some religions actively recruit new members and converts. Some religions are scary and promote fear instead of love, friendship and faith. The word Koran makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Athiests and agnostics have nothing going that would compell me to join them.

If the questions are the same there is a strong possibility that the answers will be the same. There is not one person here that can convert you or anyone else.

It is by choice we are all here, even yourself. If you are sick of it or don't want the exposure there are plenty of other sections to peruse.

Nothing here will change, it is what it is; the only thing that can change is your tolerance level for it.

Yep. Or how about this. "If God made everything, who made God?" Now there's one to chew on.

Oh, wait. And "Why would God create humans with an appendix?"

Or "Why would a merciful God allow (fill in the blank) to happen?"

*sigh* yes.. more and moreso since the y/a nazis started taking all the fun trolls away.. they used to make it bearable.. even fun here.. now, we are inundated with the monotheistic rantings of the fundies.. I want my old R&S back.
