They are elegant in appearance, of proud carriage, reflecting great nobility and temperament. They are universally known as a police dog for their devotion to duty on the German Front during World War I. The Dobie is constantly alert and is a great companion or guard dog, yet shyness is a fault. Doberman Pinschers make admirable obedience and show dogs or wonderful family pets. He's insanely cute! How cool that he turned up on your doorstep. Are you going to keep him? If not please find him a loving home.
He is young, but his markings suggest he is a Rottweiler mix. (Colouring over his eyes is a big clue)
As for the mix it's hard to say from the pictures, as he is lying down, so it's hard to see his shape. I would think a Lab or a Collie.
Either which way, Rottweilers, Labs and Collies make wonderful pets, and you're lucky enough to have him young so you can train him. My brother has 2 fully grown Rottweilers, and his wife just had their second baby. The dogs adore the kids, and are so gentle and sweet with them. Do train him while he's young though to make sure you have control. He looks like he's going to be a big dog (look at his paws)
Good luck, whatever you decide to do with the little guy.
...............
I really wish a puppy would show up on my doorstep!

It looks like a Rotti / Lab Mix. It has the markings of a Rottweiler but it seems to have the head shape, eyes, and nose of a Labrador. I think that is one cute puppy. If i'm right about the breed you will have one protective and very loyal puppy. There are some link to show you what these breeds look like as puppies below including other rotti/lab mixes. Congradulation on the new pup.

I can't say for certain, but the markings on his face make me think he's at least *part* Doberman or Rottweiler. He may be pure blood, but I really don't know....

He's very young...it looks as if he still has his puppy hair. He'll be a very sweet dog, I'll bet.

I hope you decide to keep him

AWwww. Poor little guy! He looks like either a lab/shepherd or beagle/shepherd mix. Maybe even part rottweiller? He's very young!

Are you going to keep him?
Poor little puppy.

Hard to say as we cannot tell the size. Many breeds have those types or markings; rottweilers, dobermans, black & tan coon hounds, min pins...
He's sure a cutie, how kind you are to take him in! Poor baby!
