You Will Know Them by Their Fruits

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:15-20

Yes, our words should be seasoned with salt.
We should be light - people should know us as belonging to Him, because they see Jesus in us.

Good point. We can be easily fooled by those who do good. But how can we know what motives/agendas are behind the deeds? Only God knows:

"Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God." -- 1 Corinthians 4:5 KJV

With that assurance, we don't have to worry about the wolves, but continue to do our work to bear genuine fruit of His Spirit and praise Him for His unconditional trust in us. God knows when the works are authentic and sift the wheat from the tare when the time comes. Nothing fools Him.

May God Bless You Always!

MOST actual Christians (in America, at least) tend to be quite normal, unassuming, and non-obnoxious people who go about their workaday lives and have the same concerns as anyone else. Such as paying through the schnoz for gas, shopping, and deciding what to watch on TV. Not surprising, since 83% of the USA's 300,000,000 people are professing Christians.

Normal Christians typically try to be honest and courteous people -- but that's also true of people of other religions, including Wiccans and atheists. So that makes it easier to recognize the PSEUDO-Christians (and, unfortunately, some low-IQ Christians who've been deceived) who comprise the RRR Cult -- by THEIR sociopathic and hateful fruits. You can recognize them pretty easily because they all support hate-agendas that seek to FORCE millions of girls and women to gestate UNwanted pregnancies to term against their will... and who seek to deny housing, workplace, and marriage equality to gays.

At least you'll be able to identify the UN-Christian attitudes of the "Religious" Radical Right lemmings... by their SPOILED fruits.

Fortunately, their infestation comprises only 5% of the USA's population.

But UNfortunately --

RRR : Society :: 5% arsenic : glass of drinking water

I have seen fine beatitudes displayed by Pagans, and Atheists and SOME Christians. All different peoples show a variety of good. Some of the worst heartache I ever get on this site is from "Christians" though and I consider myself one.

If you have been hurt by someone that says they are a Christian I ask you to focus on your self just because they may have done something that you don't think is right does now mean that you have to do that You do not have to answer for them but you do have to answer for yourself. Find the answer for yourself. I pray that God would guide you.

Yes.

Anyone who claims to be a Christian but whos life and actions are indistinguishable from those who live "of the world" cannot, by definition, be a Christian.

Well, I'm sure if there's a Christian who doesn't act 'perfectly', there's always someone ready to pounce on them and yell "ah ha!!!"...

It's the pouncers who are the most self-righteous.
