If you are thinking of wearing the wedding band following the marriage, and the engagement ring on occasions it won't get abused, damaged, etc., do it until you feel more secure. Your own insecurities about this may cause an accident, almost a premonition.
All of the above answers are right, and they are for the people whom never worried about the risk of their engagement ring, or they were welded together.
You may try a wedding ring with diamond set in the center, almost flat with the ring, or as mentioned previously a ring with some glitter, and leave your larger ring in a safer location.
Either way, it's better to be safe than sorry. And you have both rings.

It depends on what you're comfortable with.
Most of the people I know just wear the engagement band, because it's flashier and people tend to not notice the wedding band when it's on. They also go by the logic that they spent more on the engagement ring, so they should wear it.
Others I know wear both - these people have rings that were meant to be worn together, though (the wedding band is cut specially to compliment the engagement band).
The smaller group of people I know just wear the wedding ring. They tend to like simplicity.
Really, it's up to you and what you feel comfortable doing. There are tons of people out there in all three camps!

wear both. But you can just wear the wedding ring if you are going out into the city and dont feel safe with a big engagement ring on. But if you are someone you feel safe then wear both rings. The wedding ring is suppose to be on the inside and the engagement ring on the outside (though you dont have to do it that way if you dont want to).

Both. The engagement ring is just for the engagement, the wedding band adds to it. Usually Engagement ring is the nicest part of it anyway. The wedding band is usually not as fancy.
When I was married, I took mine to the Jewlery store and had them weld the two rings together. Of course, my set would have looked silly if I just wore the wedding band.

A lot of people wear both, and it's a personal choice. Some people choose to wear just the wedding band, and others don't wear any rings at all for different reasons.

Usually the wedding band and the engagement ring are worn on the same finger; wedding band goes on first, then the engagement ring on top of it. I wear my wedding band on my left hand, and the engagement ring on my right, as they don't go together. It's up to you how you wear your rings - do what you feel works for you. Rings are only a small part of the overall picture.

Well, I get an irratation on my skin so when im at home I only wear my wedding band. But whenever I leave the house I put on my engagement ring as well. You should wear them together as much as possible. If i didnt get a skin irration i would wear them both ALL the time.

Most of the time I wear both, plus the anniversary ring I got for our 10th anniversary. However, there are times I just wear the wedding band.

I wear both, unless I'm out in the yard or something and I don't want my larger solitare to get messed up on the engagement ring! My sister is a teacher, and she wore her band, until she got an anniversary band, simply because she didn't wnt her solitare to scratch any of her prek kids at school! She wears the engagement when she's not at school though!
Personally, I think as long as you and your hubby are ok with it, then do what you want!

I wear both of mine. Your man worked hard to find the prefect special ring for u or it was a special thing u did together. So him ur proud of that by enjoying it and wearing it all the time. It's not going to hurt it. ALWAYS wear ur band to the inside of ur hand with the diamond the outer most ring. U always want the band to be close to ur heart and the more important ring. It's considered "backwards" to wear them the opposite way.
