You can use goat's milk or milk replacer (maternalac). At four weeks they should have started licking. Just work with them and you will be able to wean them. If you have to dropper feed them, I actually like an eye dropper better than a bottle. IT is less messy. Get one of those big ones they use to give medicine to kids. They work great.

You need to get to a pet store and get some milk replacement for those puppies. It is a powder filled with nutrients that you mix with warm water. They need to be fed every couple hours and be kept warm! Is your dog interested in being a mom at all? Or just not feeding? If it is only the feeding she may have a breast infection or she just can't keep up with 10 puppies! Are her teats warm? Does she have a fever? If she does, get her and the pups to your vet ASAP. Puppies can literally suck all the nutrients out of the mom and make her ill. She just may need your help with feeding. Try 5 at a time. Rotate the mom so that she is using all of the teats evenly. The puppies are full when their bellies swell up and they fall off the nipple. These rotations will probably last about 20 minutes, then you can roll her over and feed the other 5. Make sure your mom dog is eating plenty also. She will need more food when she is feeding pups. If she is a larger breed dog, keep an eye on those puppies. She can accidentally roll over on them and kill them. Email me if you need more help!

Mix up some of this puppy replacement formula for now.
1 c. whole milk
1 teaspoon salad oil
2 egg yolks
1 dropperful of baby vitamins.
Beat together or buzz in a blender. Keep refrigerated and warm up enough for a feeding to body temperature, about 6 times a day. If you can get puppy replacement formula, use that.
Get some puppy kibble, and soak it until mushy with the milk formula. Give them some at every meal, until they start eating it. Then you can gradually, over a couple of weeks, decrease the amount of milk, until they are eating the dry kibble.
Have you checked the female to see if her nipples are sore? That may be why she won't let them nurse. But some females just refuse to feed any more at about this time.

NO cow's milk! Puppies cannot digest cows milk!
You can get puppy milk replacer formula at most petshops and vet offices. They would also carry bottles and nipples and any other supplies you would need.
I have a friend who recently aquired a 4 month old pup, she was feeding it puppy milk replacer, and also soft foods. Baby foods that are meat are good (just make sure it doesnt have onion powder), canned food, and you can also soak some kibble in warm water and then mush it up to start weaning.

Do not use cow's milk. You need either puppy milk replacement (pet store, Vet) or Goat's milk (most grocery stores). Mix HALF water w/ goats milk. Put dry puppy food in blender to make smaller then mix canned food with the dry and the milk/water formula.
Place in shallow pan on floor, dip finger in food and place on puppy's tongue. Be gentle and puppy will start to follow your finger as your lower it to the bowl of food. Do this with each puppy, making SURE not to get food in puppy's nose. Make sure the mixture is "soupy" so they get enough water. Make sure each puppy gets enough to eat, with that many puppies, some may push the others out. So, you may want to feed them 3 or 4 at a time. They need to be fed at least 4 times a day.
Feed them this way until their teeth come in and they can eat dry food. Always make sure fresh water is available.
It's also a good idea to take them in to your Vet. It is time for their first worming, if that has not been done yet and to be Vet Checked.

ok first they should get puppy replacement milk bought at the vets or petshop. feed that by bottle.
As far as puppy food moisten the food with the formula to a soup like consistency. Feed this to them before the bottle.
AT this age they can go the night without food so I would try the bottle tonight. then first thing in teh morning give the puppy food mix ( you should use a good dry pupppy food ( I use Purina puppy chow)) Tehn follow with teh bottle.
at 5 weeks don tmoisten as much and less formula and leave a bowl of water.
by 6 weeks just slightly moist and on water they shouldn't need the bottle.
yuo may need to take a little of teh food and put in teh mouths of some to get tehm the taste.
Yo also may ned to stimulate them to go potty until they are 6 weeks.
Good Luck

No cow milk!! Wet the food down. The pups will eat it when they get hungry. Feeding 10 pups was probably just too hard on the mama. They should do fine on the puppy food at 4 weeks.

Why did the mom stop feeding them? Are you sure they aren't eating from her at all? If not you need to get replacement milk from the petstore. Regular milk is not good for them and doesn't have the right vitamins for them. Also, take the puppy chow and mix it with warm water, make kinda a mush out of it and try to feed that to them too. Their teeth are not ready for hard puppy chow. You can use small animal bottles. Good luck, you should have the mom checked out by a vet too and make sure there is not something wrong with her. Make sure she gets lots of water too.

First of all, why did you breed your dog? They sell substitute milk at pet stores. DO NOT GIVE THEM COWS MILK. Some breeders believe that puppies should fed puppy food at about four weeks. Try a high quality pup food, and if that doesn't work, get the substitute milk. Also, try forcing mom to feed.
When the puppies no longer need her, please spay your female.

You'll need to get PMR (puppy milk replacer) and a nursing bottle, or 10 from your pet store. At 4 weeks they will eat a lot. Have you tried canned puppy food mixed with water.
