Conjunctivitis or pink eye is very easily treatable with anti biotic drops.
You should not leave this untreated. It can lead to permanent eye damage and it is VERY CONTAGIOUS.
Also there is a remote possibility that this is a symptom of another pathology.
There is no downside to seeing a doctor ( or free clinic if you dont have insurance),

You may have an Infection in your Eye,eye's are precious so don't leave it for to long,make an Appointment to see your Doctor,you might need some antibiotic Drops in it.
Has anyone looked to see if there is something in your Eye?try pulling the top lid over the lower part,it could be just a bit of Grit or a small Fly,or do you Work in a place where there are bit's flying about,and you didn't have Protector Glasses on?

Pink-eye is a bacterial infection,and very contagious.You will need some antibiotics only available from your MD. Be very careful,and wash your hands often,the eye drainage is how you spread the infection. Keep your eyes from harsh sunlight exposure,you can gently bathe your eyes with warm water that you've boiled. You may need to find a clinic,staffed with Registered Nurse Practitioners,or go to your local ER for the med's. Take care. SW RNP

mix a little boric acid with water and wash your eye(s) (this is the one my mom used to use on me when I was little and I never remember it lasting more than a day.) (first link)

No you need to go to the doctor get an antibiotic ointment to get rid of it.

Pink Eye may go away by itself if its viral. Not really. I would suggest gonig to the dr. he/she will tell you what to do for it, and he or she will know if its bacterial or Viral.

No, it will not go away on its own, and it is HIGHLY contagious, so please do your friends a favor and get some antibiotics for it ASAP.
