I am from el salvador and I have a u.s. tourist visa but not a canadian one. but thats not the point, my question is:can I just go inside canada through the niagara falls, which is a customs-free area or should I go to the canadian embassy and get a tourist visa and then while i stay there we get married? would it be a problem if I just go in there as a tourist and then get married or do i have another option?

please i need advise on this, we know that over there gay couples have the exact same rights as the straight ones, but would it be a problem if i come in through the customs-free area (niagara falls)?

A customs-free area is NOT the same as a passport-free area. I suggest you consult the Canadian embassy about this, or even the El Salvadorian embassy . Don't expect any fast action; Canada seems to have solved their problems by having an embassy that does nothing, and quite frankly aren't pushing to have more inhabitants by this means.

I think he means boyfriend. There is a clue in the question when he talks about gay couples marrying.

Talk to the Canadian Embassy would be your best bet.
