to anotherbsdparent, I am not racist. I love my country and don't support free-loaders or people stealing what belongs to others - like jobs for legal immigrants still waiting to get in. I don't like people stepping in line in front of others like they are better than the rest of the world.

Our immigration laws are tough on people trying to migrate here, but that does not give Illegals the right to take what is not theirs, live in our country with fake documentation and stolen identity.

I don't know where you came from, but you obviously are not a patriot of the USA. Someone I work with just became a proud citizen of the USA today. He took his oath to take up arms to protect our country if called upon, to uphold our Constitutional laws and abide by them. He said it made him feel very good to achieve this goal after entering here legally many years ago, paying his taxes without the same benefits as citizens, and he waited until it was his turn. He is so very welcome here!!!

If all Illegal Immigrants have violated the law, then they are ALL criminals and the bill is nothing more than an AMNESTY Bill.
It IS one issue.
Yes! They sold out a long time ago!
Guess who financed their campaigns.

They are two different issues, but that's how most of the bills work. I find it ridiculous that our country is catering to one group of immigrants(Mexicans) in so many ways. How many of you have been as appalled as I to find English language television channels airing commercials in the Spanish language? Or, how many have noticed how many Mexican products have been stocked in our stores? Or how many Mexicans seem to refuse to speak English anywhere in this country? I'm sorry if I sound bigoted, but I'm really fed up with how Mexicans have disrespected this country. I feel they have by illegally entering (showing a blatant disregard for our laws) and feeling this country somehow should allow them to protest for their rights to be in this country. Most individuals try to assimilate when moving to another nation. Otherwise, one really wouldn't chose to make that move. Just saw another person's post and thought I would add that racism has nothing to do with those who oppose illegal immigration. If that were true, those opposed would logically be attacking all of the hispanic population. We all know what the problem country is, but most our afraid to state it.

If the current immigration law is wrong and needs amending, then it is not a stretch to say lets provide amnesty to the people who were in violation of this wrong law.

It's also a pretty strong economic argument. Restricting the free flow of labor does not make for a better economy.

American's don't usually have to interact with immigration regulations. They are very, very messed up and more radical reform would be welcome.

Nevertheless, racism is a strong underlaying motive for opposing legislation that would allow people who want to do an honest days work to do it.

Does this mean it's time for the uprising :) Those senators are just too rich and too spineless.

i doubt those muderers and rapists (who are the criminals) would be rewarded anything.
