It is never alright.

There were some very severe sanctions for rebellious disobedient late teen children in the Old Testament Law, but I would guess they were never put into effect anyway.

Presumably it was meant to filter out the Jewish equivalents of Nero - psycho youths who would wreck other people's lives and damage society through their selfishness. Very hard though. Its the kind of thing that law updates in the Talmud would probably replace.

I hate to admit this but I completely agree with Raji the green witch about sqeaky.
Though I don't agree with the defensive nature he takes, I do agree that sqeaky has some serious issues and needs to love God.

Those old testament scriputures in case your interested were for a specific purpose. They were built in the the Hebrew's mind because the Hebrews had a way of following after these people and their religions.

God had entered a binding covenant with the Hebrews and the consequences for disobedience was very severe. He did not seek the death of those people however, only the death of those individuals who entered Hebrew territories and attempted to corrupt the Hebrews and lead them away from their God who purchased them and brought them out of Egypt with His mighty hand.

It needs to be noted, Egypt was full of these types of people who were into the "magic" (loosely used to describe all )
And God through His mercy did not destroy them, He devastated their land and killed all the first born, but when push came to shove, He led the Egyption army away from the Egyptions and killed only the men of war.

Christians and any other type of religious orginazion worth it's weight in salt would never seek the death of any person regardless of their beliefs, their practices, or any other such things that are in direct conflict to Gods word.

We are called to 'love' and seek the restoration of all men to a right standing relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Any man or woman who speaks a word contrary to the forgiving blood of Jesus is condemned already.

You are essestially taking the blood of Christ, which was able to appease the God of heaven, and becoming a judge over who is worthy and who is not worthy to recieve the forgiveness of God through the blood of Christ.

This blood that you are a partaker of even though you did not suffer, did not die, did not ascend into heaven and do not come from heaven, you now want to judge who is worthy to recieve this blood? Be careful, God does not take lightly His Son's blood which came at a great price. No man is worthy to decide who can be washed in it.
Period!!!

Squeaky, you need to chill out and rip out the OLD Testament from your Bible and toss it into the firer. If YOU come anywhere near me or mine, based on what yo said, I have ALL the right to shoot first and figure out later if you were just spewing garbage or were serious. I take your post as a DEATH threat and WILL defend myself with deadly force from YOU and your kind.

I believe soiling the flying carpets, eating sweets on any day but Sunday, whining, talking back to parents, picking your nose, dirty tent, friends are thieves, listening to a street band, having diarhea, having a cold, and fornicating with a camel were all offenses a kid would get a death penalty for under old testament rules.

Whenever they get out of line, worship a different god, or god tells you to. Of course, this is only if you follow the bible's guide go going to heaven. If you just live as a normal human being, then there are no circumstances, ever.

It is never approved by God to murder. The test of Abraham and his son Isaac was just that, a test of Abraham's faith and passed with flying colors.

If God commands it. It's like in the story of Abraham and Isaac. God commanded Abraham to kill his only son and Abraham was willing to do what the Lord commanded. (Even though an angel stopped him in time!) Thank goodness it was only a test of Abraham's faith!

Never. I have no idea what you're talking about. God despied this practice in the Old Testament and he still does know.

When Jehovah asks us to sacrifice our children just as Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son, Isaac, to him in lieu of the goats.
