I don't drink coffee, but when my husband does he is going thru withdrawal, headache and crankiness are standard behavior. I just run straight out and get him a cup or tell him to make one himself(i keep a stash handy). My sister, she's so hooked, she likes to sniff the jar where the coffee beans are.

i dont drink coffee, but I used to drink alot of sodas. I quit drinking them and now if I drink one coke and then not drink another within 4 hours I get a really really bad headache and I end up puking and then going to bed. So either I need to stop all together or I need to have a can soda every 4 hours. Before I could go aday with a can, but I think back then I had enough caffeine in me to last a few days.

One reason is from anxiety and withdrawals.
Another reason, i've been told, is because of your bloodflow being restricted. Caffeine will speed you up, and if you are a regular user, then you will feel it when you stop.
Regular caffeine consumption reduces ones sensitivity to caffeine. When caffeine intake is reduced, the body becomes oversensitive. In response to this over sensitiveness, blood pressure drops dramatically, causing an excess of blood in the head (though not necessarily on the brain), leading to a headache. This headache, well known among coffee drinkers, usually lasts from one to five days. It is reversed only with caffeine intake or Aspirin. Many people who are reducing caffeine intake report being irritable, unable to work, nervous, restless, and feeling sleepy, as well as having a headache. In extreme cases, nausea and vomiting have also been reported.
What it does to the body and who it effects faster?
Caffeine increases heartbeat, respiration, basal metabolic rate, and the production of stomach acid and urine; and it relaxes smooth muscles, notably the bronchial muscle. These symptoms start anywhere from fifteen to forty five minutes after caffeine is consumed, except the central nervous system which is hit between thirty and sixty minutes after ingestion. But these times depend on the person's hormonal status, whether he/she smokes or takes medications, or has a disease that impairs liver functioning.

caffeine is addicting, so when you stop drinking coffee, soda, energy drinks, etc.. you are going through withdraw. this can cause headaches, nausea, anxiety, and other unpleasant symptoms. but after all that, you ultimately end up feeling better without all the caffeine

It's called withdrawal, I had that problem when I gave up coffee the only thing that helped was drinking Liquid Vitamin B. Good luck if you're trying to quit.

Your body craves it because you have more caffeine receptors in your brain and gives you a headache because they are not being used or something lol

If you become addicted to something, your body goes though withdrawls when it doesn't get it, a headache is one withdrawl symptom.
