We thought it was a wart, but it definitely isn't. It's smooth, round, and pale. Sometimes it bleeds a little bit. It started out with him just losing his hair in a tiny spot, then the growth just continued to grow. It started 2 weeks ago and it's currently a little bigger than a pencil eraser. Does anyone have any ideas about what this could be and what I should do. Seriously, please. My dogs are very important to me :)

Please. if your dogs are "very important" to you, take him to a VET. It might be a wart, it might be cancer, infection, who knows. A vet needs to examine the lump and do a possible biopsy. This list is not the place to be asking about things like this, TAKE HIM TO THE VET.

Well myself it sounds like maybe a small tumor that now if taken to the vets can be removed. I am not a vet however and cannot make that call. You really need to take him/her in as the sooner they remove it the better. Even if it is a cancer if removed early can mean a long life for your dachshund. Most the time something like this is benign. The bleeding on a tumor is because it take a lot of blood cells to support a growth. I use to work as a vet tech and I know how scared a lot of the customers were about even finding out but it is better to be on the safe side then sorry.

This could be a mosquito bite. When mosquitos bite pets, the way their body reacts towards the bite could be different from humans. When I say this I mean that normally a humans gets red, but maybe a pet bite is pale. It depends on the pet. When it bleeds, it might be from your pet scratching it.

It also could be allergies. The reason I am saying this is that when some pets have allergies, they lose hair is certain places. I would check with your vet and see if you can get a mild pet allergy medicine. If your pet allready takes allergy medicine, you might need to talk to your vet about a higher dosage or a stronger medication.
My dog used to take Predizone for his allergies. Yes, it is a steroid, but he had very bad allergies and this medication worked for him.

But Predizone cant be used on all pets. Our vet warned us that it could cause heart problems and then maybe some minor problems. But are dog was fine.

It really comes down to talking to your vet. Ask him/her about it and see what they say. Ask about predizone or a higher dosage or maybe even a different medication.

Good luck!

P.S. Also, this may be ok. My dog had a few of these on his face but they were black. Sometimes they just get them. :)

Oh and one more thing... these could be calcium deposits that come with getting older. Those are nothing to worry about.

Whenever you have a bump on your dog that continues to grow - especially if it bleeds - then you should take it to the vet to have it examined, and possibly biopsied.

please just take hi to the vets if it is growing it would be a tumor and hopefully not cancer. there is no way to diagnose over the computer.
I wish I could be more help but i think you will just get opinions and no way to know for sure. I'm sorry if i offend anyone but this is my feeling.
Take him to the vets tomorrow if possible or as soon as possible

You should take him to the vet, especially if the bump is growing.
