Yup! I've got it and I'm only 38. If you suspect you do it's important that you see your doctor to get xrays. As the discs shrink you body is prompted to compensate for the weakness. You can start to grow osteophytes (essentially extra pieces of bone) as the body tries to stabilize the neck. If they fuse to the next one you have a serious issue. Chiropractic adjustments, massage therapy, and neck strengthening exercises will help.

I once read a novel called "Why do men Have Nipples" the novel is filled with random questions and answers to them. In the book it said that there is no direct link between cracking your knuckles and arthritis so i would think that its the same with your back and neck, however, I could be wrong.

Any place that you have joints you can get arthritis. And that means you can get it anywhere along your spine.
