This is a psychological fiction analysis at best, a look into the psyche of an imaginary being. It's like explaining what's on the mind of a fictional character like Superman. You call this an answer you get an D- for your effort but it fails on so many major levels.

By the way are you sure that those cities destruction didn't have modern day help? I know that is what it really was.

Understand that what you read is text and what you see as truth can be distorted by words.

"God" did not literally destroy anything, or any nation. The meaning was that "The Truth is stronger than deception" (the evil nation represented deception).

This was the lesson lost to religions.

I can see from your blog that you talk of "souls intacked"; "Jesus went to Gahenna" to preach to the lost "souls" for a "chance to repent".

This is religion speaking at it's best and the word is easily lost in that.

Jesus, the Truth, entered the self made "hell" of those whom expected this upon death; he told them to Truth "this hell is yours alone, walk out of it with me as I am the light and truth in this darkness"; with all those words, Jesus simply showed up and walked out with as many who would listen; you may ask, Why would Jesus do this?

Because he could. Jesus, again, is highly Representitive of Truth, in the event Nick the Janitor showed up in your self made "hell" (thoughts and beliefs creat) would you follow him anywhere, or think, within your own beliefs, this was the "Devil" decieving?

"Hell" is that self imposed sentence of Guilt and only the Truth can lead one from that.

And some think "God" isen't wise...

"God", so it appears, is steps ahead of the game we play to keep our selves in chains.

In True form, Jesus could stroll right in and would be followed, as eveyone recognized the Truth, that thier own beliefs were shattered as "Hell" had no grip on them...

Even "unbelievers, when shown Truth, wake up and see it.
Keeping in mind, Christians have no claim to Jesus as Jesus has no claim to any group; that Truth (Jesus) was turned into the Christian religion and the distortion started.

Happens in any organization.

Sorry, but I will never believe that god would destroy and entire nation, just to keep some other nation alive, that is ludicrous?!? Why didn't he destroy China, Japan, the Phillipines, Thailand, India, pretty much all of Africa, South american tribal religions.............

Righteous bs and only your point of view. I look at this garbage as the same as the "A" hole Muslim fanaticals preach in their
no mans land. This is just a way to strike up a conversation on something no one would bring up anyway to show what has consumed you. Get a life!!

Bollocks.

In the OT it is clear that you have to be Jewish to get into heaven.

All those smited and slain by God and his chosen people do not go to heaven.

Why not just turn up in a vision to the high priests of these people and explain their error? Why does he want all the men to die, all the boys to die and all the women and girls past puberty to die?

Or is it just justification for the bloody and genocidal actions of the biblical Isrealites?

Jehovah destroyed the Hebrew nation because the Hebrew nation was a fornicating spouse and He is an abusive husband.

"Woman, why'd you make me hit you?"

It's in the Prophets. Read it for yourself.

And you Christians and Muslims want to get in on this action?

Ohhhh I see..So god just put us here to play around with us..Kind of like a kid with an ant farm???

Free will only exists until your god decides he needs you for some other convoluted scheme??
Why not just say god was sitting on a cloud one day with a clipboard and checked off all the things he wanted to watch on "earth TV" one night...

Floods...yes
Famine..yes
Infantcide..oh yes..That ought to be entertaining

Stuff like this makes being on "your side" more and more unappealing...

You have got to be out of your mind...

You're right. He had the Canaanites killed because their pagan culture would have corrupted the Israelites. So to prevent apostasy amongst the Israelites, he destroyed them and their paganism.
