find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Cut out sweets and high fat foods. Limit how much you eat at each sitting and yes exercise, exercise and exercise. Lay of those sugar loaded sodas. It's hard to do at first but with a made up mind it does become easier. I lost 18 lbs. by doing all of the above in less than two months. Could have lost more but I did not need too. I lost this weight because of a health problem and I am still holding my weight down. Take care and healthy eating!!

Well first of all stay away from any kind of sugar, eat fruits and vegetables every day. And if you are wanting to lose weight exercise for at lest 30-40 Min's, take a day off if ya want. Just don't over do it..... Another thing don't go without eating that will slow your metabolism and make you gain weight not lose it..... Good Luck.....

Eat a lot of soup with clear broth, vegetables, and lean protein (no starch). Make it yourself if you can't find anything suitable pre-made. It fills you up like crazy and is very low in calories. Also snack on fruit.
