There are two Waverunners for sale that I'm looking at, they are old and a little beat up but have mostly new parts and they are asking $2200.00 OBO for both.

One is a 1995 Yamaha Waverunner III 650 and the other is a 1989 Yamaha Waverunner (don't know any other info). I looked the '95 up on kbb.com and they suggest $1300 if it was in excellent condition but they didn't go back as far as the '89.

Does this sound like a good deal? Any thoughts/opinions?

I wouldn't pay but around $1200 for both. Have someone you trust , Who knows a little about mechanical things to check it out. If they are in great mechanical shape, then make your own decision. Only you know how much you would pay for fun.

They sound a little old and a little too much money for both. Waverunner's have come a long way and you'll be sorry if you get these and compare them to ones that are just a few years old. These two are antiques and I wouldn't spent the money and time to buy and fix them. A few years ago I bought a 97 SeaDoo GSI in excellent condition, (only 95 running hrs.), and got the aluminum trailer ,too for $2,700. It's been great! 90hp with a 15 gallon tank and a maximum speed of 55mph. My friend has an older waverunner and hers can't come close to that. I think you would want the fun of having a quick and maneuverable PWC.

You need to find a mechanic and take him out there to see them. Otherwise who knows how much is wrong with them. Both of them have some years on them with a different technology.

Sounds a little too much, see if you can ride them before you buy them
