Unfortunately they will never listen to you. The very tenets of their Religion explicitly forbid Witchcraft.
Ignorant indeed yet it is what they believe.
I learned along time ago you cannot reason with an unreasonable person. In other words don't beat your head against the wall.
You will not convince them to understand because then they would have to give up on there beliefs.
The best thing for you to do is to rejoice in your choices. And enjoy your understandings and allow them to be where they are.
They are on a different level. Not necessarily a more evolved level .
Religious dogma is very fearful and not very evolved. It has caused and is causing much of the violence on the earth.
More wars have been fought in Gods name , than any other.
Christians do not understand what Wicca is. Nor do they want to.
Move past it. Don't allow that to own you or control you in anyway.
And remember when they glare at you and look down their noses at you that they are just judgmental people.
And they have not evolved passed needing Organized Religion.
And smile in your heart with this knowledge.

Sense-able question even coming from someone named punk ass.
However - just remember that people put others down because of insecurity - take control of your own thoughts and emotions - they have no real effect over what you think. Keep on going in your quest for understanding. And by the way - why stop and Wicca? Look to Egypt, Asia, Central and South America. These places are filled with (do I dare say) "Occult" practices.

I would like to apologize for those that chose to call themselves Christians. The biggest cause for atheism today is Christianity, they confess Jesus with their mouth and deny him by their lifestyles (DC Talk).
The reason is that God in His Word speaks against witchcraft, magic and anything in that realm. It's kind of like homosexuality. Most people treat it as a bigger or worst sin than any other. To treat you in a negative way and not try to give you understanding why they feel the way that they do is something that they will be judged on.

question is doubtful. i'm Wiccan and that i no longer carry the ideals i develop into born with (Methodist). yet that does no longer mean i think of i've got "risen above it." I do in simple terms no longer agree. I did locate numerous issues in Christianity that i could no longer believe in. definite, this is being serious. i'm not sure what your component is. anybody who leaves a faith might have objections to that faith. is this question stemming from the certainty that Wiccans are meant to be tolerant? in simple terms because you're tolerant does no longer mean you compromise with all religions. in certainty, toleration is very with regards to the style you manage people who believe _differently_ from you.

There are some that have a hard time accepting anything other than what they believe to be the only viable path. You can't change them, only they can change themselves.
Your beliefs are as valid as theirs, just walk the path of your choosing and do not worry about them. A good person is a good person regardless of belief or non-belief.

People put down what the fear. If you feel UP to it, you can explain what you do..and why you do it. If you dont want to..dont..you do NOT owe anyone an explanation of your faith..that is your OWN personal thing. If they can still NOT except you, well ( and i know it is easier said then done) either ignore them...or move on in your life. ( my aunt STILL sends me all kinds of god things in my email..lol)

Well if you choose the Wicca path get used to it. That's just the way it is. LOL The path is for you and you alone to decide. You either believe it or you don't. Don't let other people dictate that you.

Christianity sees paganism and Wicca as evil. It's better to say as little as possible on the subject with closed-minded people. Seek out open minds.

the best way to avoid this is to be a Wiccan who *REALLY* knows Wicca. Find a tradition with a firm sense of academic rigour-people who know their stuff-and learn EVERYTHING.

That's because it shouldn't even be compared to Christianity as a choice. It's a mainstream Religion. Wiccan is a minority cult for people who are lost wayward souls that need Salvation. Sorry but the majority is Christian and they grieve for your misfortune in chasing earthly fortune!
