I know that to many christians it will seem one-sided, but that is because it is explaining the contradiction of what they say, feel or believe, so it would read that way. Personally, I find it very well written and not catty like some I have seen, there is no name calling or dissing, just the other side.

Very nice, all in all, and thank you.

In my opinion, it is one person's way of trying to disprove the Bible and the existence of God. I could rebut each point but don't have to because in every religion, even Islam, there is a common belief in a power or powers (if not monotheistic) that is/are greater than us. I consider myself a Christian for want of a better word. Consider this. There is one basic thread in the Bible: Good vs evil, creation vs destruction, truth vs lies and deception... and the consequences of making the wrong choice. Think about this. Human beings have the conscious ability to make choices daily. Are those choices always correct? Multiply that by the billions of people who have inhabited this planet and the odds of one person living an absolutely perfect life become astronomical. But someone (perhaps Noah or Abraham...who were nearly contemporary if you get into Biblical genealogy) and don't leave out Moses, had a perception of perfection based on monotheism. This set up a strict life style. Example: don't eat pork. Why not? Disease. Why the strict rules all around? The odds that there would be a core group who adhered to the rules greatly enhanced the possibility that a "perfect person" or "Messiah" would come as foretold. The Jews, unfortunately (and that's not being said in envy) were "chosen" as the group of people from whom this "perfect person" would come. I use the word "unfortunately" because their characteristics as a people have made them one of the most persecuted and despised ethnic groups on the planet. Jesus was the result. If in fact He was perfect, and all the rest of us are not, if this was in a High School situation, He would be the most picked-on person in school because our norms are imperfection. In short, the website only looks at historical and mythological perspectives and not spiritual implications. That website is simply materialistic and nothing more.

Of course He backs up his stuff VERY well, he doesn't believe in God. People like this amuse me, because they spend more time trying to disprove what is true rather than accept the truth. It is impossible for them to understand because they are Human, therefore they come up with these theories that dismiss the truth altogether.

Does this make their theories true? Of course not. They are Human, and the Human brain isn't flawless. Unlike God, Humans are not perfect, they make mistakes.

The Bible isn't a theory, a text book, or a fairy tale. Yet some Humans refer to it as such, and this is why so many are lost. They refuse to accept the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

No matter what they claim to have "figured out" concerning the Father and The Holy Bible, the real truth lies in the eye of the beholder.

It always amazes me, the countless ways people find to excuse the Fact that no matter what any Human may claim is true or untrue..... there is only one God and only one Bible.

I'll use Human way of thinking to justify the above; there is only one of you, right? And there is only one birth certificate with your name on it, right? So why is it so hard to accept that there is only one God and only one Bible?

Miracles are just fantasies, right? So, what is the birth of a newborn, a fantasy?

Whatever people can't control, they always try and destroy. History speaks for itself. Do you know where this started? It actually started in Heaven, when Satan tried to take control and overthrow God. Satan is pure Evil. Do you really think it is just a coincidence that Man is doing the same thing that Satan tried to do in Heaven? I mean come on, get real people. How do you explain Revelations and the prophecies spoken within that have already come to pass? How do explain those who have lived when they should have died? Coincidence? Luck? Science?

Where exactly did these ideas come from? The Human Brain, which was influenced by Satan to deny God! One of Satan's oldest tricks was to decieve Man into believeing He didn't exist. As long as people don't believe in God, and as long as people don't believe that Satan exists, He has all the power He will ever need to lure you to him.

Satan has no power over me, for I choose to believe what I know is true. No Human nor devil could ever make me feel what God does, and No Human nor devil could ever do what the Lord has done for me. Therefore, No Human or Satan Himself will ever cause me to deny my Savior.

Peace Be With You.

Hmm, how to answer 10,000 points. I will address two.

The universe did exist before the creation of this earth and the earth was created from elements, not from nothing. So in that point I agree.

As to the claims of the flood story being copied from other ancient stories or parallel societies...I will address specifically the Gilgamesh epic.

The Gilgamesh epic is not a Babylonian fairy tale, although it is the way it is translated, but an actual historical document which Moses consulted and translated into Hebrew as
part of his record we know as the book of Genesis. “Gilgamesh” is viewed by scholars as a proper name and no attempt is made to translate it, but a closer examination suggests that it is in fact a title. No competent Sumerian scholar can honestly deny once it is pointed out to him that "gilga" occurs in the Sumerian expression "pa gilga ia" and is commonly translated by scholars as "my fifth great grandfather" where pa = fore; gilga =father; ia = five; my.
Anyone with a real knowledge of Sumerian and other ancient languages should also recognize, once it is pointed out to him that writing characters in the opposite direction
was a common way in all of the most ancient languages of indicating a person who had gone to the netherworld [i.e. MESH=SHEM]. For example, we have an ancient Greek
vase of Orpheus and Eurydice: The name of one of them is written in the opposite direction as a way of saying that this person had descended to the underworld. The
underworld was sometimes viewed as a reverse image or mirror image of the present world, hence this tradition.

Thus we have Gilgamesh = "the father of Shem," or in other words, Noah.

It would take a very long time to even attempt to refute everything on that site, just due to it's size. What I did see appears to be a mix of truths, assumptions, theories, half truths and outright lies. I'm not saying that there isn't some truth to be found there, but you'll have to be very careful in assessing what you read there.

If you would like a better answer, please ask a more specific question about what you have read there. Hope this helps!

Orthodox Christianity has a vast base of scholarly work. I don't think any of his claims will find much support.

There are fierce Theological battles over all kinds of topics. It isn't a faith based on blind obedience. It is challenged every day, from within the faith, as well as outside the faith.

Scrutiny is a good thing. Take his positions point by point, and check against other scholars from the various Christian perspectives.

Some people are very sincere in answering these questions, but even as sincere as they are trying to be, they just don't know the facts. Not to say that none of them do. Many of them have done their research, and some of them are even authority's on some issues. And, Well some of them are just plain full of it. When in doubt do your own research.
