I agree completely, unfortunately everyone doesn't think this way.

I will listen to what they have to say, but I can't always respect it. Somethings I know are not true, others I know are. Some people are sincere and serious about what they are saying and some aren't. For example, One question somebody ask on hear was, Does God have a belly button. I not only did not find that funny but down right sacrileges. I just pass up the dumb stuff. And then there are those that I don't care how much even written proof you come up with, they just want some dumb kind of debate. If it is a valid question, and I feel they really want an answer and I could help, then we can communicate.

I respect everyones beliefs..I disagree with many of them as they do mine..but the respect is still there..
Many people like JW's for example..I ask them many questions on here ..I don't agree with many of their answers but I respect them very much as I know that they are good moral people who love God very much..I know that they believe what they say 150% and there is no getting through to them..I wish they would have more of an open mind and be willing to try to understand others point of view and really make sure of their beliefs..as the bible says..make sure of all things.

I mean I'll respect it to the point where I won't go all up to them and yell in their faces
OH NO YOU'RE WRONG AND YOU'RE GOING TO HELL! But I don't agree with their beliefs.
I ask them about it sometimes and compare it to what I believe and find the common areas.
Then I tell them the good things about what I believe.
I cant MAKE anyone change what they believe or judge them for it
Thats the mistake most we Christians make very often.
Then I'll pray for them to find Jesus before He comes back.
But I'll definately still love and respect the person because thats how Christians are supposed to live.
Who am I to judge somebody else?

Whatever another person believes is 100% his or her business, and I respect his right to hold them just as much as I would expect others to respect the fact that I number among the 94% of American professing Christians who actually work to practice Christianity*.
* (It is important for society to realize, however, that there is a faction which is coimprised mostly of PSEUDO-Christians, and folks having low IQs who are Christians, but have been propaganda-conned into being part of that faction -- the RRR Cult. Religious Radical Right. That is the cult that has been desperately trying to destroy important individual liberties for hundreds of millions of girls and women, and perhaps 15 million gays. That UN-Christian cult claims to be Christian, but should always be recognized for the loathsome and hateful entity that is, and not be confused with Christians. Those people deserve NO respect from ANYone. The RRR comprises 6% of Americans who claim to be Christians, and -- fortunately for the rest of the world -- barely exists beyond our borders. In America, it comprises a very undesireable and worthless infestation.)
No matter how much I may disagree with tenets of another person's religion, I am always mindful of the fact that his beliefs are NO less important and NO less respectable than my own. And I will never attempt to "convert" any person to Christianity. In line with Jesus' Great Commission to His followers, I will INFORM others about the Gospel IF they seek to listen, but will never criticize nor denigrate anyone else's faith and/or beliefs, or lack thereof.

You should respect the person. But there is absolutely no moral dictate to respect their beliefs. All ideas are fair game for a critical approach, and even ridicule. The reason is simple: really good people can be really wrong, and really, really harmful. And I expect a ruthless criticism of my ideas from all my friends. The point is truth matters.

I respect those that respect mine...and actually like to learn from others when they too have an open mind.
However, I am very turned off, when someone has the attitude that they have the only true knowledge....that they are the ultimate authority on scripture, God, or anything else...
I want to learn, not be spoon fed what to believe

for me its easy to respect others beliefs mainly because i am extremely tolerant. you just have to keep the balance and try not to get out of line when discussing beliefs. i find different beliefs interesting too, and always find a way to not get into a discussion with them when i know they are argumentative and wont take no for an answer.

yeah which would be intense high quality, different than the substantial reason i think of maximum atheists are actually not content fabric to pass away it on my own is by using the fact religions are pushing their perspectives at something of the worldwide. in simple terms look into the U. S. and the middle east for 2 best examples. my difficulty isn't with human beings's ideals. it particularly is with their insistence that quite everyone appreciate and obey them. and that i don't think of i might pass to date as to appreciate their ideals. just to enable them to have them. i don't could appreciate somebody believing in a fairy tale, with the aid of fact i think of it is ignorant. and that i think i could continuously have the the main suitable option to particular that. they could not be above grievance with the aid of fact it is while they develop into risky.

We all find greatest comfort surrounding our selves with like minded people. Yet, we must venture outside of our comfort zone to continue to grow in knowledge. While I can respectfully listen to all beliefs, I can not respect beliefs that are damaging to the greater good of all people.

I respect all who respect me. I could care less what religion or non religion a person claims as to me it's more important how different people from all different religions as well as non religions treat each other. I can't respect people who show nothing but disrespect to others.
