My friend has ms. She is in a wheelchair, has very slurred speech and is incontinent. Her husband is her main carer, she has 3 young children and it is such a shame. She never complaines or moans about her illness and i cannot believe her strength. She has to be cared for 24-7, she is the most inspirational person i know. We both have memories of how we used to go out weekends drinking and having a laugh-shes my friend....

MS is an autoimmune disease, ie the body's immune system is attacking its own body.

It is caused by the demyelation of nerves, where the insulation around nerves is stripped away, causing degradation of nerve impulses from the body to the brain, and vice versa

It can have various consequences...I have a friend who is unable to walk any distance, someone else I know is deaf

well I dont know, I know of someone who has it and takes b12 shots and is always tired
