I guess I'm not a fundamentalist because I would probably be laughed out of every Catholic church with my beliefs, but I definitely believe in God. Here's my crazy view on it all. God is all knowing and all powerful, so why would he individually create every species of plant, animal, type of rock and so forth?? In my belief, Adam and Eve were two large masses that God made crash together to form the Big Bang knowing that everything would take its course! The Bible, with all of its "begats" and people living well over three generations is obviously not a "real-time" account of events.

I agree, somewhat with your observations of fundamentalist of any type; It appears your view of them is they are shallow.
In this I must admit they have views that are trended to "maintain faith" as opposed to "seeking truth"; in this I say, If someone reads something, and it makes no sense in words, read the lesson within figuratively and you might be amazed at how fast Truth will leap at you.
I can make no claims as to what "God" made or did not, as I cannot define 'God" with my current awarness. However, I can see Some Truth in any religion, yet find more within myself when I take a good look.
The problem with Fundamentalist is they are hard wired to support what they believe to be the truth, yet, they have text to go by and nothing within that text means much as they read by eyes and not by intuition.
Intuitiveness is about You and how you Feel; follow that lead.

You know why people give you scipture, because you tell me who can debate with God , who is Truth ???
Why do you want people's opinions, first of all they come a dime a dozen and in the end , only what God said , really matters, because nobody besides Him has a heaven or hell to put us in.
God makes the rules
We decide if we chose life or death
God decides the consequence
It's that simple !!!
How many have you ever seen in a battle against God and come out a winner???

I am a Christian, ask me anything and I will give you the best, most straight answer I can. If I don't know, I will admit that also. So, e mail me a question and lets see if you are right about your generalization of us. Thanks, and have a great day. :)

Yep. They usually say that you are being disrespectful if you ask them for a source.
Had it happen just yesterday when a guy told me that the reason we thought the world was flat in the middle ages was science. I only pointed out that the Greeks we within 50 mile of how far around it was and that religious dogma had lost that knowledge and asked him for a single scientific source that had ever said otherwise.

I recommend that you stop wasting your time trying to get "answers" from people whom you obviously have not respect for. Develop some interests, try a hobby, volunteer your time to help others (oh, I'm sorry, Christians do that ....nevermind).

Fundies WANT their god to be this small jealous and pseudohuman being.
For the life of me I can't not explain why.
If god exists, and the universe is testament to his power and abilites, he is FAR beyone anything we have ever been able to fathom, and NO religion is even close to being right.

they are weak in their faith, and can only regurgitate, memorized verses learned in Sunday and Bible schools....
When you ask them about something for which they do not have a memorized verse they become all flustered and say...oh, you would understand ifyou were truly a Christian.
They cannot speak from their heart because it is twisted...and they have twisted God's word so much it has become meaningless to everyone else...
So, I hear you...I am not an atheist..but, am a liberal Christian...and I find it hard to get a straight answer from the fundies.,
