How about an honest question. Why don't we start there? Your scepticism is peeking out through the sarcasm. Communion is a symbol--an eternal reminder of Christ's sacrifice for my sin and the sin of the whole world, for those who BELIEVE.
Certain religions say that the bread actually becomes flesh in your mouth, and the wine becomes blood. Not only is this an un-Biblical teaching, but it is just not true. Just like evolution, one thing does not naturally become another thing. Dogs didn't come from salamanders and humans didn't come from monkeys--likewise bread doesn't turn to flesh and wine doesn't turn to blood.
To my Catholic friends---yes, I know God can perform miracles like turning the water into wine, and turning the Nile to blood. I do believe that those things happened, but they were bona-fide MIRACLES--not normal everyday happenings!!! But show me anywhere in the Bible where any of the epistolic writers say that the bread is ACTUAL flesh and wine ACTUAL blood...IT IS A SYMBOL--Jesus said as much when he says "Do this in rememberance of me"

Yeah, that's why I could never do it. When I was an unofficial Christian I couldn't even do the communion part because of the thought of actually eating a person's body and drinking their blood. I'd get sick to my stomach just thinking about it.

Have you ever heard of symbolism? We don't think it's a body or blood. It is in remembrance of what Christ did for us on the cross, you silly bub. Like Christ said "eat this bread and drink this wine IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME" (my paraphrase) I think you already knew that - I hope you did because if you didn't you have a lot to learn about christian rituals.

As a Protestant, I do not subscribe to the notion of Transubstantiation (that the bread and wine actually become His body and blood). Jesus were using them as a metaphor. The bread symbolically represents His body and the wine/grape juice symbolically represents His blood. We are to do it as a remembrance to Him that He has covered our sins, NOT an act of "cultic" cannibalism.

That's nothing.
Their entire belief system is based on ritual human sacrifice.
They'll deny it, but give them ten minutes and they'll forget and refer to Jesus as a 'Perfect Sacrifice' or a 'Sacrificial Lamb'.

You obviously do not understand fundamentalist theology, otherwise you would realize that this is emphatically NOT what fundamentalists believe. If you are going to be smarmy then at least do your homework.
