I met my ex online but it wasn't through a dating service it was on a community site online. We didn't intend to become more then friends. That was 5 years ago. However it didn't work out but I asked about the same question but in a different way and from what I got about a lot of people's responses is they think it's a good idea which I guess for some people it is and it doesn't always work out like mine didn't. There's people out there who have a had a very successful relationship through the net and that's good but I'm not doing it again. If you feel you'd like to then I say there's no harm in it just becareful and meet the person in a public space. Whatever you do don't rush into it and don't leave everyone and everything you know to move in with him or to move somewhere like another country or state that you know no one.

Soulmates are rarely romantic partners. A soulmate is simply someone you feel a strong connection or bond with...they may be of any age, either sex, and you may meet none or many in a lifetime.
If you are asking if it's possible to find a romantic partner online, the answer is yes. It happens all the time. My best friend is currently living with a man she met online, they're crazy about each other. Another friend of mine is married to a guy she met online, and I've known countless people who've had relationships with those they met online (myself included).
Sexual predators are typically after young people. Teens under 16 shouldn't be dating anyway, and they certainly shouldn't be hooking up with people they meet online until they are older, more mature, and wiser to the ways of people and the world.
Most of the time meeting people from online is quite safe, if precautions are taken (meet in a public place, never give them your address, don't ride in the car with them on the first date, etc). Once in a while you'll hear a tragic story, but those things occur to people who met offline as well...the internet isn't involved in every rape, sexual predator story, or "bad date"...it (the 'net) is a useful tool in meeting people, but is best used in conjunction with offline ways of meeting folks as well.

My sister met her husband online and she is very happy, they have been to gether now for 10 years...Finding someone on the internet can be a great experience as long as you are a grown up mature adult. Young children, however fall prey to online scavengers/predators far too often because they are not monitored closely enough. The Internet can be a very wonderful thing, or a very evil thing, it needs to be kept in check, always.

It's possible I guess. I never dated anyone I met on line but I know people who have. Just use the dating sites if you are worried about predators. Good luck.

Sexual predators are everywhere and you can meet them in a coffee shop or in a chat room, you just have to be smart about who and where you meet. I met my husband online, but we were pen pals for a few months before we met in person, and didn't get romantic until that meeting. I and feel like we're soul mates. It doesn't work for everyone, but online dating worked out well for me!

I think, sure why not? Meeting someone online is the same as meeting someone in person.. If you meet someone in person they could be a sexual predator and lie to your face. same on the internet. You just gotta be careful who you meet.

I think it's possibly. I feel that you shouldn't limit yourself, it's different and can be kinda fun, if you go into the situation with that view, ya know,no pressure just seeing how it will work for you. I personal enjoy it, I have one profile on a dating site and I get plenty of hits...so it really depends on the individual.
Stay Positive.

maybe, but you have to careful if you decide to meet people, It would be safer if you meet them at the mall inside. are a park where there are people lost of people walking around and never give anyone your address just play it safe some time people are not what they seen to be they could be nice one second and mean the next second good luck
