Okay, I recently told a girl that I LIKE her. She LIKES me also, but, she doesn't want to go out with me because if we 'Break Up' our friendship (friends for like 9 years) might be lost. I tried explaining that if we are such good friends then there will be no need to loose the friendship, how can I convince her that we are great together?

I started dating a guy at 15 and dated him for 5 years. Our parents "broke us up", b/c they thought that we were too close, however he was/is the best friend I have ever had and now after 25 years, he is still my best friend. Yes, after we broke up there was so bad blood between us, however, after about 5 years, we spoke and have been speaking and seeing each other ever since. Yep, we are both married to other people, nothing we can do about that children are involved, but I can trust him and he can trust me with ANYTHING! All of our secrets that we would never tell anyone else, our problems and lots and lots of laughs. He will always be a part of my life in one way or another. When you truly love someone it does not stop just because circumstances change. that is just life. Good luck

The first answer could be right, but maybe you can think of some places to go and start spending more time with her. Make the outings light. Do not be aggressive. Maybe ask her out once a week or once every two weeks. Don't make any physical moves. After a month of so, try to get a reading. Maybe hold her hand when walking or something. This test the waters.

Shes being honest....and I can understand. It would be hard to see eachother on a freinds bases and things be the same...they will change you know that. She may feel that you as a freind in her life is more important than anything and she doesnt want to take a chance on it being ruined!!!!

awww, thats so cute! Well if you really want to go out with her, make sure that she trusts you. Because there are a lot of other guys out there that don't keep to their word. But if you really like her, make sure that she trusts you, and maybe things will go better.

It's true what she said if you start dating and everything goes bad. Then you can forget being her friend enjoy being with her how it is know. If it's met to go another way it will work out..
