It is about personal preferences on what is attractive to that person
Societies create the norms. Most western societies have created the norm that a heavy person is not the most desirable. It has to do with self control, self respect and much more. You don't have to like that or agree, but it is what it is.
I have many friends who are ladies and are over weight. I ask them the same question, what attracts them. They almost always say that they like a guy who is confident, has certain traits as well as a good body. Some guys prefer BBW (big beautiful women) but most don't. It is a choice.
If you are not finding the fish you want, try changing the bait!

Now, I've Seen A Couple Cute "Heavy/Proud/Healthy" Girls Out There. I Just Can't See My Self With One. BUT There Are Some Guys That Are Into Some Girls With A Lot Of "Pride"!!! You Know What I Mean.

honestly, I don't think a guy cares what a woman looks like so much HOWEVER he does care what everyone else thinks. needless to say, guys want 'arm candy' so that everyone will think he's 'the man'. I'm sure heavier and not so attractive women would have no problem getting a man if it wasn't for society and men's friends. After all, they don't want to be teased about what their woman looks like, they want to be praised. i guess one could ask, why do women feel the need to get fake breasts and plastic surgery - to have men slobber over them so they will feel special (pathetic but true)...so of course, now that men see all these plastic women out there, they expect the average woman to look like them too.

Simply because a heavy girl gives off the impression that she doesn't care about her appearance or wish to take care of herself.
That doesn't mean that it is true, it just appears so at first glance. And a few pounds overweight does not make someone fat.

I know plenty of guys who are concerned if a girl looks too skinny as well.
Most guys I know prefer a girl with curves, but not overweight.

It's the media lies & airbrushing that encourages an unrealistic expectation for skinny beautiful women. Most of the models out there, who are already tiny, still get any bit of adipose tissue erased in their photos. Fat is a good thing, as long as you dont have too much.

Because men are very physical and care a lot about what you look like. Women care a lot on what you are on the inside but men are simply more into looks. (for the most part). I don't mean to offend anyone.

I agree w/ urstruly, but there really are some guys out there who appreciate & find heavy girls attractive. I'm a heavy woman & my husband loves me & finds me very sexy!!

There are lots of fine and wonderful men who prefer heavy women. My man is beautiful, fit, and is a local celebrity musician and he LOVES me. It just depends what the guys preference is.. For the guy who says all men think fat women are disgusting, YOU'RE disgusting! and immature. you should shut your mouth.
