I think it would impress her to take her to one of those places where you decide what you want to cook and they have the ingredients ready and you go there and cook it together. It's a fun date where you both get to learn to cook something new and don't have to do any of the shopping!! You can take the meal back home and impress her with a fancy table set up and maybe a dessert you made.

Best chicken dish ever

4 chicken breasts - cubed
some chorizo (spanish sausage) - cubed
peppers cut into squares
sweet potato - diced

Throw all these ingredients into a casserole dish and cover with the following sauce

In a jug mix 2 tins of chopped tomatoes
2-3 garlic cloves - crushed
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp crushed chillies or chilli powder
salt
pepper

pour over chicken mix and cook for 45 minutes and serve with green salad or green veg
if you want to make it really fancy then add a handful of king prawns five minutes before serving and it is delicious

has impressed many a date

You should cook something that you think she would like. Depending on witch race she is. She would like the food that she has already tasted before or if it is in her culture.

You should not make something that you have no idea "how" to make because their is a chance that it will be bad. But you should try to be simple but sophisticated. Cook something that you already know but cook in small servings unless she like to eat a lot.

But on the real tho if you cook something for her. She knows your trying to impress her, and she will like that. If your food taste like shite than she would tell you. and then you could go out and eat, or make something together witch it will build a stronger relationship.

Who knows you might get lucky at the end depending on how it goes.

Don't go all five-course meal on her - unless you DID go to cooking school. Start with something simple, but delicious!

I recommend a dish that says something about you - perhaps a traditional dish from whatever culture you come from...

When in doubt, you can't go wrong with something easy like a chicken breast (grilled or baked) with a side of rice - and some fresh veggies (grilled also, or steamed). Make sure the presentation is perfect - and it will look like you really put a lot of effort into something that is basically "set and forget" ;);)

Something easy but impressive is an omelet.
It's easy, when you know how, can be flavoured, ham, cheese, onion, mushroom, prawn, spanish, .....normal or
souffle. Done to order , it takes little time, inexpensive, rises
to the occassion. Serve with mixed salad, light fruity.white wine. Be pleased to tell you method for best results !
Follow on with strawberries /raspberries/fresh peaches marinated in red wine, with ice-cream &cream.
You could always make an omelet Surprise.
This is the other name for a Baked Alaska, i.e. Ice-cream,
sponge, fruit, enclosed in Meringue, then flambed with
brandy.
In My Younger Day, I never failed with a Home-made chocolate cake. Dates were always forthcoming, Propective
Mother-in-laws, always impressed. I was able to gate-crash &
gain entry to many a Party with one !
Hope this helps & makes her mouth water.
PS. I'm a Chef.

chicken cutlet parmigiana, either grilled or fried depending on her eating habits
depending on your preference, you can put it over rice
or over a nice pasta. penne or linguine are always good. penne holds the sauce better, but linguine can be a little messy which could lead to her needing to borrow a shirt......
this is not too difficult and it is a very sexy meal.
it hasn't failed me yet. :>)
if you're not watching what you eat, you can add FRESH Italian bread with or w/o melted cheese mozzarella cheese bake it in the oven @ 375 for 15 minutes

pasta putanesca is really good
ingredients-olives, capers, anchovies, garlic, chopped parsley, tomatoes, and pasta.

instructions
1. saute all the ingrediants but the pasta in a pot. (make like a spaghetti sauce but it has lots more flavor)

2. boil pasta

3. serve pasta and sauce (make sure that the tomatoes are squished while you saute. dont leave out any ingrediants or it will not taste right. )

4. have some sort of dessert. chocolate pudding is a really tasty choice.
5. a drink (wine, lemonade, soda)

6. enjoy!

i would know since im a female

First marinate thawed frozen salmon fillets in your favorite salad dressing and cook according to the package directions, then buy some couscous at the store that has been flavored with olive oil and parmesan(it take five minutes to whip up and you can find it at Krogers), finally make a salad with prewashed lettuce, pine nuts, dried cranberries, and a basalmic vinagerette

Find out what she likes.

But also be sure to make a dessert.

And make her something that you like and know how to prepare with the minimum of fuss. The last thing you want to do is burn something in front of her. In saying that I have absolutely ruined a couple of meals and still had a good time.
