Alot of young men like older women and I have had boyfriends who are younger than me. The older woman is usually still good looking and looks young for her age before the guy notices her. My youngest boyfriend was 33 and I was 51 and I also had a boyfriend who was 8 years younger than me. I like being with a younger guy because they make me feel young and attractive. I am no longer seeing either of them because I am now married to a man who is 2 years younger than me.

Well my husband is 8 yrs younger than me. He was 20 when we met and we have been together 16 yrs and married 11 of those 16 yrs. We had a lot in common. He grew up as an only child his siblings are my age and were already out of the house. So, he had a level of maturity that most 20 yrs do not have. We enjoyed the same hobbies and music and have as much fun today as we did back then.

Well, I think it is that to some men in their 30's a woman in her 50's is more understanding, relaxed and confident. We tend to look at the younger man and older woman scenario as taboo, but when it is an older guy younger woman thing it is ok! Why is that? I say age has nothing really to do with it, unless you are doing something illegal!

You should be telling us!

My guess is going to be that an older woman is not looking for a younger gent to support her, therefore if she is interested in a younger guy she is financially comfortable. She is not looking to get married and have children- God forbid would any sane woman want to do it over even though the first time was great (who wants children to compete with grandchildren being that grandchildren are more fun). Lastly she probably has little demands on your time as she has a busy life outside this relationship.

i think its because older women are just much more mature and they dont come with the teenage bs and attitude.

just pretty much a regular situation......plus the fact that in society the normal thing has always been older guy younger women so just the fact that you are with a older woman automatically makes you think its cool.

I think that have something to say, you can actually have a conversation about things that matter, not say younger women don't. Plus there more experienced in the behind closed doors pleasure palace. They have been through more and you ca n learn from their experiences as well. They are where they want to be in life, then instead wanting to get to that life. More relaxed and no head games it right there no games.

Lets see: Men my age (Im 28) like older women because they are more financially stable.
I have read an article saying that older women (5o's and up) are appealing because they are financially stable, many have been married and have already had thier kids and divorced and are not looking for that again. They are content with just dating and having their serparate lives.
When I was 23 my then bf was cheating on me with a 47 year old woman. He was my age also. Turns out he had mother issues bad and this woman looked alot like his mother. EEEEwwww.

I don't know..why do you? Looking for a mother figure and security? I always thought the majority of men wanted/needed the younger woman to keep them young and virile and to survive their midlife crisis. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on why you prefer older women. I believe in the 7 yr span...as women live longer and by having a man 7 years younger basically puts them in the same age bracket by the time they're senior citizens. Good luck to you if you're in it for true love and not material things!

Given the ages you mention here, I would say it is your personal choice about this particular woman. I would not say that in this age bracket that there is a tendacy to prefer older women.

If you asked what attracted a 22 year old to a 35 year old, it would probably be her maturity and self confidence.

I don't know. Some claim women their age aren't mature enough, but then they behave with typical maturity level for their age themselves.

I'm 42 and have 20-somethings come on to me from time to time. I appreciate the interest but just don't reciprocate it.

Your story is different though, because you are a middle-aged man so it's not that women your age aren't mature enough...perhaps you just met someone who appealed to you and she just happened to be 13 yrs older.
