Electronic signals don't travel instantaneously, you're hearing a delay caused by the extra length of cable. If you have the cable going in to 1 tv, and out of it to the other, it is quite possible that there is a delay in when the first TV gets the signal in, and when it re-broadcasts it on the cable output to the next TV. That is the most likely cause.

The signal going into the tv set has to be processed by the set. Apparently your two tv's do not process the signal in the same manner which is why you have the delay. Is it possible you have one analog tv and one digital tv? I notice a difference in the two.

Sometimes certain tvs if their older and stuff and can a slight delay. Something else that can cause this is is you had a cable hooked up to one that is REALLY long... it might have a little delay as well
