Looked real strong till they took Gualupe to lightly and let me get out in front. Pavon had a great showing.

Honduras looked good in the Copa Oro. Initially they lost to Panama, 3-2 which meant that they had to tie or beat Mexico to keep their hopes of advancing to the next round alive. Mexico is a very tough team, so the Hondurans had their work cut out for them, but they played like champions and actually beat Mexico 2-1. Boosted by the amazing performance against Mexico, the Hondurans destroyed Cuba 5-0, including a first half hat trick (3 goals) by Pavon, who ended up with 4 goals that game. Unfortunately, they may have gotten a little over confident because they didn't play well in the quarter finals against little known Guadaloupe. They went down 2 goals in the first half, and then botched numerous scoring chances in the second. Pavon managed to connect on a header in the second half, making the score 2-1, but time ran out before Honduras could equalize. I believe that the Honduran team has tons of potential, and people should definitely watch out for them next year.

They are the sleeper team in this tournament.
Other teams better not underestimate them.
