A crush is just a crush - outta sight - outta mind.

This is one of the contradictory proverbs that I've outlined in the book I'm writing regarding relationships. It really depends on the quality of the relationships to begin with. A crush or interest may not be strong enough for the heart to grow fonder, even though the spark may still be there. However, I think one will soon forget as soon as another person comes on the horizon, then it turns to out of sight, out of mind for the first individual. That's not to say that if he or she makes an unexpected appearance, that the spark may indeed ignite to a flame. Let me put it this way. If it's true love, absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder. If it's just a crush, the memory and the person will fade away if he or she is never to be seen again. How soon you forget will depend on you.

it all depends on how much you like that person. if it were just a phase, it's out of sight and out of mind. but if it were something serious, like the Notebook, absence makes the heat grow fonder.

If you want to forget someone then the out of sight out of mind usually rings true but when you are truly in love with someone, a little time apart can really make the two of you appreciate each other more.

absence makes the heat grow fonder.

Long distance suxs, but its better when you see the person, everything is more intense, and you have a deeper relationship, because when you are apart, all you can do is talk, so you know them on every level that a person can know someone

sometimes being apart is the best thing. if it is true it will come back to you. just when you are around this person face to face let them know how you feel. so much love is lost do to lack of comunication.

If you really like the person and they really like you - absence works. If not, bon voyage. Uhhhh - you don't ever forget someone you really like though... not really.
