I really want to break into contact with my spiritual guide, is it really that hard?

I've been on tonnes of sites and even read a few books and stuff based on it and all i can find to contact my guides is that i have to meditate regularly. I have tried this but i find it hard to meditate, does anyone know of any easier way to get in contact with them?
I also heard that they can hear your thoughts all the time, does this mean they can hear what you say as well?

Stop trying to contact them. You are essentially dialing a random radio. You have no idea what you contact actually has any connection TO you.

Not everyone has the ability to discern the spirit realm.

You should, however, continue trying to meditate. You will find that it quite literally takes you out of time. You can easily spot those who meditate frequently because they look much younger than they are. They are always well rested and content.

Just plain good discipline.
