Sory but there are only three sizes recognized that is a toy, miniture and standard.
A so called teacup is nothing but a runt and unless 6 months can all of a sudden get a growth spur and actually be the largest of the litter or they may stay small no way to know.
a TOY -- 10 inches or less at teh shoulders
MINITURE-- 15 inches or unde
STANDARD--- over 15 inches.
People just try to sell them as teacup to try to make more money, they can not be registered as a teacup but only as a toy
( look this up on akc.org.)

An adult Toy Poodle's normal weight range is between 6 and 10 pounds. The Tiny Toy adult will weigh between 4 and 6 pounds while the Teacup Poodle will top the scales at between 2 & 4 pounds with three pounds being the average.

Teacup poodles aren't actually a breed. They are just toy poodles that are small for the breed standard. When you get your AKC registration, it will be a for a Toy Poodle. The breed standard is 6-9 lbs...so anything up to 6 and sometimes 7 lbs will be called a "teacup" by breeders.

There is no such thing as a teacup anything. What you are referring to is an imperial pup. An Imperial pup is either the runt of the litter or they have been specifically bred down( by inbreeding).
These so called teacups have many health problems in life. They have a shorter health span. And they can not be bred.
The big surprise....... Even though these pups start out very small or have a slow growth rate. Some of them actually get to the regular size of the breed.
If you want to purchase a small breed pup. Make sure you do not purchase one called a "teacup" or "Imperial". You will be just shelling out money for a pup with many health problems.

first, there is no such thing as "teacup".. they are still toy poodles.
"teacup" is a label used by byb's and miller's to insinuate that the pup will be smaller as an adult, which is not always true! I have heard of "teacups" that ended up being larger than their breed's standard!
Anyone breeding "teacup" dogs is breeding small runts, and many of them are unhealthy.
Someone recently told me that some millers actually use small males with large females for breeding(to avoid needing to do cecarians). And they have a few smaller females that are not used for breeding, but for "display" to fool people into thinking that is how small the pups will be.

A teacup size poodle will fit in one hand. Two hands for the toy-it's a bit bigger.

teacups are tiny. the small poodle that you usually see is a toy. you'll know a teacup when you see it. i don't think they'll get much bigger than you foot. for exact measurements go to the akc website.
