i prayed to zeus to give me a sign that he will be returning again... sure enough he threw down one of his lightning bolts from the heavens and caused the lights to go out on an entire city block. i'd start believing in him if i were you. he's coming. all hail zeus!!!

I hate to burst your bubble but it wasn't Zeus.

Are you the new prophet of Zeus? Can you pray that Zeus will do that every day for the next year? If he only did it once, I won't believe in Zeus. I'd rather believe it was just an electrical storm.

Jesus, however did many miracles, even raising people from the dead, to prove that He is God, who became a man. Not only that, He Himself rose from the dead.

Beat that one, prophet of Zeus ; )

The Standard Theory of Lightning for 1700 years was that it was by Satan (the Prince of the Powers of the Air) causing it.
That was the reason the Churches refused to use lightning rods for over seventy years after Benjamin Franklin had demonstrated that they worked.
The Churches continued to use bell ringing to scare off Satan because to do anything else would have shown a lack of faith in their own dogma.
They electrocuted a lot of steeple bell ringers in lightning storms.
All Hail Zeuss indeed!

speaking of having no power....
a couple of years back there was a freak storm in the middle of winter that took out a power transformer so our town was without electricity for a couple of hours. those situations are adventurous. getting out the candles, or flashlights... getting cold and having to bundle up... the fun of using the toilet and not be able to flush...
good times... good times...
