Atheist~
"NOUN: One who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods."

And Atheist can still have a religion and be spiritual, though most don't, it is not like in an Atheist handbook that you can't believe in angels or something.
The only requirement to be considered an Atheist is that you connot believe that there is a God(s)

What are your thoughts?

Chippy v1.0.0.3b: I don't know what kind of wierd logic your using here, but from my understanding by believing in one thing (which BTW the Jews got from the Babylonions) Does not Force you to believe in something totally different.

Dude, think!

I appreciate the fact that not all Atheists are the same. It makes for intelligent conversation (some of the time) and a chance to understand the beliefs of others.

I would GREATLY appreciate an acknowledgement that not ALL Christians are the same either!

If a person believes that there is no God, then they most likely don't believe that there are Angels, since they belong to God.
I think that it's easier to believe there is no God in order to live without spiritual boundaries. It allows a person to freely go about thinking that some Big Bang is responsible for all the things in the earth. Not giving any of the Glory that God so richly deserves to Him for all things.

Please remember that in the book of Mark16:16

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

It doesn't matter if a person "thinks" that there is no God, because that doesn't make it true!

God Bless You

I understand this definition. I am interested to know the nature of spirituality for an Atheist. I'm not dismissing that Atheists are spiritual, but it seems somewhat contradictory. The life of the spirit and belief in a soul seem foundational to a spiritual life.

Would not an atheist still have a god? Is not a god someone or something worshiped? If you do not believe or worship the God of the Bible, then you only have yourself, money, "treasures", mankind, earth, and nature left. So, in fact, atheists may actually have some kind of god to worship. After all, worship involves our time, attention, resources, esteem, etc.

I do no mean this to be sarcastic or insulting. I merely offer a theory.

I see marriage as a devout perception that's among a person and a lady, of any race. However, if a homosexual or lesbian couple desire a civil union, with a purpose to be legally visible as a wedding, then I'm interested by that. That must even be increased to any person, homosexual or directly, who desires to be "married" however does no longer desire the devout detail.

An Atheist is a person who believes and puts all of their faith into a lie, that there is no God and they live their life in rebellion against God and His people, because they love their sin more than the truth. This is the Truth; All of Heaven, Earth, and Science declares that there is a God, and that He is a Righteous God. They will spend eternity in Hell because they have believed a lie. They will live in eternal shame and torment. The Bible calls Atheists, Fools.

You are seriously misguided. An Atheist most certainly CANNOT,and would not want to be a member of a religion or be spiritual, although that last one always gets me angry emails.

If you are 'spiritual' but do not believe in god, you are Agnostic.

You are having a laugh if you think Atheists believe in bloody angels or other rubbish like that!

That's correct, technically an atheist can believe all sorts of paranormal stuff and still be an atheist as long as they don't believe in gods.

If you consider all the Buddhists and Taoists on this planet, I believe most atheists do have a religion.

yah. from my understanding atheists can be Buddhists. *shrug*

however angels are actually related to the christian belief/religion. thus to accept the idea of an angel is to accept the idea of a god.

u can believe in aliens or other beings similar to angels. but i wouldnt term them as angels.
