You've been given excellent instructions when the programs have 'played by the rules' and have actually registered themselves with the Operating System, so that Vista can be aware of them. However, not all programs play so nicely. Some just go and grab space on your hard drive and don't play with anything else. To 'uninstall' these programs - you need to find their directory and delete the files or directories associated with them.

You didn't specify how you launch the programs you want to uninstall. Nor did you tell us how these programs get on your system to begin with. Either or both of those pieces of information would allow us to give you better, more complete answers.

Answers are free. Mind reading very expensive

well are you at the right place first of all?

go to control panel, and look for "programs and features"
there should be a list being generated and the uninstall option should be on top.

if for some reason it's not then i dont know what you did to your system. you can also go to Programs, find the folder of the programs you want to remove, there may already be a Uninstall option in that folder for you to click.

my vista always show uninstall/change/repair when i load my program lists in control panel, make sure your user name has administrator right so you can install/uninstall

Vista is a little different then XP. To uninstall a program, do the following.

Start/Control Panel/Programs and Features. Select/high light the program you want to uninstall and the the uninstall feature will appear in the tool bar. Click on it and choose "Uninstall".

Pardon my 1st answer. I think that you don't have is admin rights. In Control Panel, try opening Users, if it asks you for a user name and password, I'm right. If you can get in, make sure your account is an administrator. If not, you need to get an account with admin rights. Hope this helps!
