People can be very judgemental. Unless necessary it's usually better not to volunteer too much personal info. It's not necessary to deny your past either. Let people get to know you for who you are now. Later, they will be better able to appreciate how your past helped to make you the person you are today.

As long as you are not that person anymore you shouldnt feel obligated to tell anyone that unless you plan on having a serious relationship with them or you are interviewing for a job. In those situations it is best to have things like that out in the open early because that can really screw you over later. But other then that no not if you dont want to. If you become really good friends with someone eventually you probably will tell them.

i wouldnt be like, 'hi my name is ____ and i used to be a drug addict and a stripper". however, if you have formed a really strong bond with someone and feel that you NEED to tell them, go for it. it will probably be a big shock and they may need time to adjust to the idea of it, but they should get over it eventually. however, that said...if youre in a relationship with someone and dont feel that your past is anything that effects you today, (as in, its over with and youre not doing it anymore. and it hasnt messed you up emotionally or physically since that could hurt your present relationship) then keep it to yourself. some things are better left unsaid. if the person asks you though, better to be honest since if they find out later then youre screwed. good luck!

This should be priviledged information for people who are in your inner circle, who you trust. At some point in your life, you may feel comfortable sharing it the information with people you are not as close to maybe in an effort to help them. Overall, many people will just judge you for it so it would be better to keep that info under wraps.

I would say just keep it to yourself-you will be jugded my your past if you tell anyone-a lot of people always look at the bad, and not the fact that you have changed for the better

Why do they need to know?
You are who you are. We all have done things we may not be proud of - just do the best you can.
Besides it could be worse - you could have to live with being a past member of the Bush administration!

You can tell them if you want, but I wouldn't. What possible purpose would you have for divulging that kind of informtion. I think that would fall under TMI.

People are judgemental, so if you want people to think you have a good reputation, don't tell them that.
Just say you were an anatomical sales-person.
