i'm sorry, i know that most of the military are good people, but it makes me sick when i see pictures of gitmo, abu, the rape of an iraqi girl, i don't think that i could ever forgive the us military for that........
plus i really hate the discrimination of gays/lesbians. i believe we are the only armed forces to ban gays/lesbians to serve in the military.

Well it makes me sick when I think of my little brother being burned alive on 9/11. It makes me sick to see the beheading of non military engineers. You are an enemy sympathizer. The U.S. has the most civilized army in the world. These insurgents hide behind groups of children because they know we won't shoot back. YOU MAKE ME SICK!!!!

First off, let me answer the easy part of this incredibly stupid statement. The military doesnt make the policy on who can serve or not, that is controlled by congress. So what you need to say is; "I hate congress for not allowing gays to openly serve in the military."

Yeah, those guys that raped that little Iraqi girl are bad guys. I personally think they should be executed, if found guilty. I ask you this; rape happens all the time on every college campus in America, so do you hate colleges? Obviously since it happens, then it must be condoned. Thats how you make it sound.

Im a little un decided about Gitmo, but before you or I can truly feel bad for the people there, go and google the video for Daniel Pearls execution and then you can see the type of people the US military is fighting against. You know the Taliban stones girls for going to school and kills barbers for cutting beards. Al Qaeda blows up mosques and executes policemen in Iraq, along with teachers and village elders who dont go along. Your right though, it's the US military that is evil because of a few bad events by bad apples or policies constructed by the nations ELECTED officials. Actually what im really saying is that you hate the military because you are a freakin douche bag.

the military does not ban gays and lesbians it is just simply don't ask don't tell policy which should be carried out in every job no matter what it is because. i really just don't care if your gay or straight but i get annoyed when someone rubs it in my face. you see the military is just simply asking anyone rather straight or gay not to parade there sexuality around which is understandable.
my husband is a solider when he is in uniform i cannot even hug or kiss him while he is in it just like everyone else there is your privet life and your professional life.

don't let just a few bad and ignorant soldiers keep you from supporting the troops there are more good ones out there than bad but unfortunately CNN sells more bad stories than good because we people pay attention to bad people more than good

and when we are good you will close your eyes so that when we are bad we will scar your minds taken from a song

don't mix apples with oranges . hate those who deserve to be hated those specific idiots that did terrible things the military does not tolerate that sort of stuff and they have all been punished by now I'm sure of it so hate those idiots that got kicked out of the military and sent to prision for the rest of there lives for doing terrible things.but do not be racist and subcategories all military as bad people they are people too.

First of all, gays/lesbians are not banned from serving their country. There is something called the "dont ask don't tell" policy. I know many gay men and women that are currently serving their country. Do I approve of the policy, no. I think that the type of soldier you are doesn't depend on your sexual orientation. You shouldn't hate the entire military for the stupidity of some.

Keep some perspective. You can never generalize about any group. Certainly theres alot of bullies and sick people in the Army, but theres also alot of good people there. Dont judge an entire group based on the actions of a few of them.

Besides, the "Dont Ask Dont Tell" policy isnt the idea of the soldiers. Its the idea of the leaders and the government. Recent polls show that 70% of American soldiers have no problem serving with gays or lesbians. Its time we got rid of that idiotic policy, I agree.

So where do you live? So if I hate one person in your state for doing something immoral or illegal, I can then generalize and blame everyone in your state for the same thing?
When you think about it, if a country has limited resources and a limited number of people able to serve, the restrictions are reduced. In the US, that is currently not the case, so they can be selective. I just don't understand why someone that is gay/lesbian, has to constantly throw it in my face. I really don't care what you put in your mouth or stick in your rear. I just don't need to be constantly reminded of it.

Why hate the entire military for the actions of a few. Might as well hate all of mankind because of the actions of a few. You would do well to remember the military that have fought and died to keep you free to bash them. God Bless our military past and present.

So you hate the U.S. military because of like 12 bad soldiers? That's a little strange. Gitmo is full of people who want American's dead......I think you are a traitor to the U.S. When does your plane to Venezuela leave???

Get your facts straight, gays and lesbians can enter and serve in the military. And the media will never show you the good things ever, they will only focus on the wrong, f-ed up stuff. Its one thing to hate the people running the military but its uncalled for to hate the people in the military, they are simply following orders.

Well, the Navy has 342,000 active, 130,000 reserve; the Army has 502,000 regulars, 333,200 national guardsmen, and 189,000 reservists; the Marines have 180,000 active and 40,000 reservists; and the Air Force has 334,200 active, 120,370 ready reservists, and 107,000 in the Air national guard.
(all numbers approximate, of course)

so that's 2,277,770 people who at least on the outside, seemed sane and clean enough to join. And some really aren't.
