First of all, stop trying so hard. Relax. Try drinking water before eating, and dilute it with some lemon and/or mint to stop it from tasting so bland. Iced tea (homebrewed, no sugar) isn't that bad either. As long as you fill up your stomach with liquid, you should be able to eat less. Also, you can try soup (vegetable, no noodles, like tomato, etc) before every meal. Tricks your stomach into being full pretty well. Finally, don't try to get everything done in one meal. If you eat lots of small (no more than a handful) snacks during the day, like nuts and raisins, it will help fill you up. Good luck!

We are becoming a nation of malnourished, fat people. I've been there. When you start feeding your body a diet of healthy foods and a good supplement and take a 10 minute walk within 2 hours of each meal you will start to stabilize. you will feel better! Your body will continue to complain it's hungry, when it is just craving nutrients you aren't providing. And about the watermelon, it is a high-glycemic index food, which means your body is reacting to the high sugar content and sending out an army of insulin to handle the sugar. It's like eating a (healthy) candy bar. GO BALANCED!!! See MyPyramid.gov for the healthy food quantities you should eat to lose weight. A diet of natural whole food in the right portions will help.
Look into controlling your blood sugar levels with 5 to 6 small healthy meals per day. Pack your own foods for the whole day so you won't cheat and you can eat healthy.
Water is best but if you flavor with tea (bags, no powder or sugar) it's okay and some tea is good for you. No soda! Even diet soda increases your appetite. Avoid High-fructose corn-syrup (it is in everything these days).
Allow your self a daily reward in the evening if you do well, (I have 3 or 4 Dove Dark Chocolate squares) and a weekly reward of something really naughty, (like a kiddie cone of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream)
You can do it, Liz C.

What you need to do is STOP EATING EXCESSIVELY! Make a fist. See the size of it? That's how much you're supposed to eat at each meal. Measure out your food ahead of time and put the rest away. When you're done eating that portion, you're DONE! Will you still be hungry? Yes, because you've stretched out your stomach from overeating, so now you need more to fill it. BUT, your stomach does not need to be filled for you to live. You need to get an adequate amount of nutritional ingredients, which will fit in the palm of your hand, 3-5 times a day. That's it. Do something else if you're still hungry. STOP EATING SO MUCH!

A couple of ideas:
Make sure you are eating *real*, nutrient-dense food. When you eat mostly processed food or junk food, your body is not getting enough nutrients, so even though you're eating way too many calories your body will tell you to eat more because it's undernourished.
Make sure you're getting enough protein. It's harder to fill up on protein and fat, they create chemicals that make you feel full faster than if you eat carbs.
Measure out a sensible portion of healthy food and eat it. Wait for a while. Are you still hungry? Are you *really* hungry, or do you just feel like eating? If you are honestly hungry, eat some more healthy food. If not, find something else to do.

Try raw veggies with some fat free dip. They are low in calories and most are high in fiber so they help you feel full longer. Anything with lots of fiber (cereal, beans, some breads) are going to help you eat less and still feel like you ate a substantial meal. Also, measure out your portions to an actual serving size and eat, and if you are still hungry half an hour after you finish, have some veggies. You may not even really be hungry, more of a thing we do in our heads.

First of all you have to stop stretching your stomach out with all that food! You really have to honestly make yourself hungry for a few days in order to shrink your stomach.
If you are seriously obese, your stomach will never shrink back, you could have a gastric bypass though to make it smaller. I'm not saying you should do it, but it will make your stomach smaller. My mom always told me, it's ok to feel hungry, you're not going to die of starvation.

first of all you aren't supposed to eat until you are full. not quite sure how that ever got started. you eat enough to get you through whatever activities, etc. you have planned for the next 3-4 hours, then you eat again.

If your not allergic to nuts, they are filled with protein and fiber and the good fat that the body needs. Also look into higher fiber meals, like oatmeal.
