My grandmother died in 2001 and long story short, my grandfather turned out to be a huge **** and a teacup collection that was intented to go to me was sold with all of her belongings... before he got remarried. So since then I've wanted to get a teacup outline for her but I'm not entirly sure where... I am thinking either the bottom of my wrist or on my leftside ribs above my heart... Are these bad places to get a tattoo? should I put it somewhere else? Also I want it fairly small.

you just want an outline of a teacup? i personally would get something more than that. how about an actual teacup that she had? as for the placement, that is something you will have to live with forever so think about it long and hard before you get it.
good luck.

Ok having 2 tattoo's of my own I would say that you should put it in a place that can be covered up from time to time. Like I said I have 2 and there both visible unless I where a long sleeve shirt and the problem that I ran into is after awhile they begin to fade a little and start to look bad. Plus they are not always appropiate in some places because many people judge the tattoo before they ever get to know you. Also I don't know about above your heart. Everybody that I have ever spoken to about getting one around the chest. Say it hurts worse than any where else

I'd put it above your heart. That way only the people you want to see your tattoo will see it. Some people tend to have a negitive attititude towards tattoos and you wouldn't want it to prevent you from getting your dream job or making a bad first impression on people you meet.
Also, I'm sorry about your loss and think this would be a wonderful way to memorialize your grandmother. Good Luck!

People have had nearly every single area of their bodies tattooed.

Why just an outline... pick a pretty teacup and have it done in color... Maybe one that was in her collection. That would be really nice. Just be sure to pick a very talented artist who can show you their work....

I would give my eye teeth to get one done by Kat Van D

I like the idea of close to your heart, that way you can have double symbolism with the tat. Have you thought of having her name placed inside the outline? I think that is sweet.

Go with above your heart. Its gonna look horrible to the left of your ribs.

Either place would be fine. I'm sorry about the loss of your grandmother. I think your tattoo would be so neat and such a beautiful idea!

Why just an outline..........that wouldn't look good. Especially
on your chest.
Now, if you go with the teacup with shading and maybe your grandmother's name on the cup.........with little flowers around
the rim................that's a different story.
But, the choice is up to you.

Above your right or left heel bone. That's where I've got one of mine.

Anywhere bony hurts, but the chest hurts more. Go with the wrist.
