Who knows? He won two Busch series championships back to back so he is a great driver. Maybe now he has gotten a feel for the Nextel Cup car and is putting things together. The sky is the limit, especially being the big dog at DEI now.

He's been a litttle slow to get to this point and I don't think he wants to risk having to work his way back up. It's looking like his momentum might carry him straight into the chase and a possible best finish for DEI this year. You can't win back to back Busch championships without having serious talent (however you can get a ride at DEI if your daddy is stinking rich...and will sponsor your car). I'm glad to see that DEI is going to be in good hands when Jr is gone next year.

With all the politics this year at D E I this may have given Truex the momentum for the rest of the year.

truex will be in the chase this year he has the talent and the experience to contend for the title two busch titles already so it would come as no surprise especially now that the dei garage seems to be more interested in putting him out front
