youre going to need to go talk to a tattoo artist and get their opinion they are trained in this field and will be able to give you a very sound answer and no matter what anyone says on here this is ultimately up to the artist you should also know tattoos are NOT like a scrape theyre just as damaging as a sever burn to your skin.

Tattoos are a completely different type of injury than the type that usually result in keloids (cuts, piercings, etc). They're more like a very mild scrape. I'm sure you've scraped your knee before, and I'm sure it didn't keloid.

In short, tattoos don't keloid due to the nature of the wound. You should be perfectly fine. But of course, it is never a bad idea to ask your artist.

You will definitely have to meet with artists. I know of people who are prone to keloids who got tatooed and their tattoos are slightly raised. I think it depends on how the artists tattoos. if the artist tends to tatto harder then it might cause a problem. Again you will have to research your artists and maybe ask around.

I am prone to keloids and I have a quote/anklet tattoo around my right ankle. Did not have a problem. This does not mean that you won't. How about start small in a discreet location and see how your body responds???
