Although the HolySpirit is suppose to live in them, can they also have demons.

Yes.

The sad fact is - a HUGE percentage of Christians believe that once they are "saved" the devil can't touch them or affect them in any way.

This is a falsehood that leads to a HUGE pitfall.

So too, many denominations of Christianity do not TEST the spirit. They simply accept miracles as from God and never expect that they may be led astray.

Such as the Airport Vineyard Churches. Or the "Alpha" program that sprung from them.

How can anyone believe that the Holy Spirit would make one crawl around the floor and bark like a dog? This is degrading mankind and as such degrading God. Thus, it is the work of an evil spirit.

This is an excellent question!
First I'll give you the basis for my opinion and then I will give you my opinion. First, the the bible reveals a startling secret about the condition of man. Before he/she is Born again. he/she has a Sin Nature. The bible describes it as walking in the "flesh" it also calls the Sin Nature, "The Old Man" . The bible says it is impossible for the Old Man to serve God because the Old Man walks in sin. The term "walk" signifies a lifestyle. So the Old Man is living a lifestyle of rebellion against God 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Understand that this is a CONDITION. The person may be doing charity work but the Old Man inside is waiting for an opportunity to do something evil.
the bible says that it is impossible to convert or get rid of the Old Man he dies only when we die. When we invite Christ into our lives The Holy Spirit "New Man" comes into us and becomes a permanent residence. So now we have the old man and the new man living in us. The two hate each other because the old man hates God but the new man loves God.
The bible says we can make a conscious choice to walk in the lifestyle of the New Man or we can choose the old man.
The Bible says that Satan CAN NOT touch the New Man inside of you. 1John5:18
This is were the rub comes. Even though Satan can't touch the New Man I believe under certain conditions a person can invite a demon in who then joins forces with The Old Man Demons and the Old Man have plenty in common.
The good news is deliverance from the demon is an immediate reality because The Holy Spirit still has residence.
One last note, when a born again person dies, the Old Man dies however the Holy Spirit takes FULL control and translates us through time and space to be with the Lord.

well, it depends on the type of Christians your talking about. To be a Christian nowadays, all you have to do is say "Oh yeah i believe in God" then you go do whatever heck you wanna do. those kinds can be possessed believe they don't really have God in their lives. But the real kinds, also known as Born Again Christians, can't. because they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior with all their heart. when you accept christ and ask for forgiveness, you receive the Holy Spirit and God becomes part of your life. he will always protect you. So the the demons wouldn't even think of possessing a born again christian! :D I hope that helped!

For those sealed of the Holy Spirit, demons can't cling to or possess any child of God. For example, demons can't posses a Christian to murder someone. The Holy Spirit possesses the Christian, and Christians aren't forced by the Holy Spirit. But the Christian chooses to die to flesh temptations & follow after the fruits of the Holy Spirit; faith, hope, love, joy, peace, patience, honesty, truth, etc...

But if a Christian gets into disobedience, God allows tormenting spirits to torment the Christian who won't forgive so & so. And also, if one watches a show that is demonicly inspired, then God allows those demons to oppress that Christian. If a Christian purposely rebels against God, then God may allow witch spirits to oppress them. (I have personally experienced a witch spirit before. Feels awful.)

The Christian just needs to recognize their sin & submit to God, look at Gods blessed assurance, pray to God & listen to God, resist satan & satan flees.

Christians also are a power house against the devils destructive plans, so satan will tempt or try to deceive the Christian from knowing who one is in Christ. Everyone born of God is an overcomer. Jesus overcame for us. Our faith is our victory. But some Christians aren't nurtured as babies like they should be. So they stay babies too long & sometimes end up disobedient/carnal Christians. And that is a difficult life. Because this opens up doors to demonic oppression & sometimes people get sick & die early. They go to heaven early.

Yes. This is why were are told to put on the "Armor of God." If the Holy Spirit is in a man, demons cannot exist within him..but can only attack him on the outside (matthew). This attack is an attack to his psychology, will power, and desires. Jesus himself was attack by Satan when he was tempted in the desert...how much more so do you think we simple men will be attacked? However, know that the only way you will lose a fight with a demon is it you willingly give up and submit to them. "Resist Satan and he will flee from you."

(1 Corinthians 10:21) 21 YOU cannot be drinking the cup of Jehovah and the cup of demons; YOU cannot be partaking of “the table of Jehovah” and the table of demons.

--- Association with Jehovah and Demons is not possible at the same time.

14 What is one way that you can resist wicked spirits and protect yourself and your family from their snares? First-century Christians in Ephesus who had practiced spiritism before becoming believers took positive steps. We read that “quite a number of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them up before everybody.” (Acts 19:19) Even if you have not practiced spiritism, get rid of anything having spiritistic uses or overtones. This includes books, magazines, videos, posters, musical recordings, and objects used for spiritistic purposes. Also included are idols, amulets and other items worn for protection, and gifts received from practicers of spiritism. (Deuteronomy 7:25, 26; 1 Corinthians 10:21) To illustrate: A married couple in Thailand had long been harassed by demons. Then they got rid of objects associated with spiritism. What was the result? They were relieved of the demonic attacks and thereafter made real spiritual progress.

17 What further steps might be taken by a person who is determined to resist wicked spirit forces? Ephesian Christians needed protection because they lived in a city infested with demonism. Hence, Paul told them: “Carry on prayer on every occasion in spirit.” (Ephesians 6:18) Since we live in a demon-infested world, praying intensely for God’s protection is essential in resisting wicked spirits. (Matthew 6:13) Helpful in this regard is the spiritual assistance and prayers of appointed elders in the Christian congregation.—James 5:13-15.

19 Though the perfect man Jesus Christ had divine protection, he heard the voice of the wicked spirit creature Satan the Devil. Jesus showed what to do in such a case. He told the Devil: “Go away, Satan!” (Matthew 4:3-10) In like manner, you should refuse to listen to voices from the spirit world. Resist wicked spirits by calling on Jehovah for help. Yes, pray aloud using God’s name. Proverbs 18:10 says: “The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. Into it the righteous runs and is given protection.” The Christian man in Côte d’Ivoire did this, and the wicked spirits stopped harassing him.—Psalm 124:8; 145:18.

There are many religions that have a belief of demons , Hindu, Tibet, Roman Catholic - which is Christian and others as well.

The Roman Catholic Church still dispells or exorcises demons quite often.

However I guess that it would depend upon one's faith, and beliefs as well.

I think a good answer from apparently a Christian point of view can be viewed here:

Can a Christian be Demon possessed
http://www.gotquestions.org/Christian-demon-possessed.html

From my own personal point of view I believe that the human has his or her own spirit that inhabits the body and if their spirit is strong then it is highly unlikely that a demon will posses them. It is only natural that the human body would try to 'repel' the deomn and that the natural spirit, the one that belongs to that body would be the stronger and the one to reside in the body.

Is it impossible? I do believe in demon possess, but I believe that only those weak in body, meaning by sickness of body or mind, are the ones that a demon even has a shot at.

Christians have _Children_ . That is usually enough. The demons cannot compete with the terror caused by 4 year old having a tantrum. Most demons will run out the door screaming...no, that is the parents who run out the door, the demons jump out windows.

Very definitely,When we become Christians it is vitally important that we fill our hearts with Gods word and all that He has for us.When Joshua crossed the Jordan into the Promise Land a land that flowed with milk and honey. The fight was far from over,as a matter of fact it was just beginning. Many Christians fall to the wiles of the devil within the first few months of service.Satan will not sit idle by and let you become what God wants you to be.The man that cleaned his house found it to be swept and garnished. All the evil and wickedness was out of this house."Then goeth he,and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself;and they enter in,and dwell there:and the last state of that man is worse than the first" Luke 11:26.As Christians we must always be on watch for the enemies of God.They come in all shapes and sizes, even as angels of light.Watch and Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

You might ask Judas. Remember that He performed miracles, shouted Ï have betrayed innocent blood.¨ And the Spirit of Satan entered him and he hung himself.

Jesus said many will cast demons and work miracles in His name (Pentecostal-type religions), and Jesus will say, ¨Depart from me, I never knew you.¨

Sad, but true, Satan has ravaged God´s church and the ¨times of the Gentiles¨has been fraught with more atrocities than the Jews ever though.

We could be concerned had God not told us in advance that these things will happen. And the Abomination of Desolation that He warned us of is revealed in a last-day Bible code at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm We are facing even greater trials.

Blessings, Balaam
