However, I still agree in a person's right to choose? Is that a hypocritical standpoint?

People can choose. To murder, rape, to molest children, to rob people. But where comes the right?

I don't think it's a hypocritial stand point, but I do think it is a standpoint that has not really been thought through.

I am totally against abortion in any instance because I, too, feel that it is murder.

I also don't think that some man in the government should decide what a woman does to her body.

The point that some people seem to miss here is that while abortion does happen to a woman's body, a woman's body is not the only body and abortion happens to! Abortion also happens to a baby's body.

We have laws in this country that protect the bodies of many types of people- men, women, the elderly, children, people on life support, people with disabilities, and even dead people- but for some reason, unborn babies aren't viewed as humans worth protecting.

Its not hypocritical, but a person must understand what it means to have the freedom of choice before they can choose.....People don't have a choice when it comes to the life of another and thats why its called murder because they think they can take the life of another living being into their own hands.....a baby is a gift from God...God put that child on this earth because that child has a purpose....just because you don't want it doesn't mean you have the right to take that life away....God gave you that child because it was going to help you in many different ways...but once you murder it...then you took away a life that probably could've changed the world....and there are alternates to abortion I mean...like adoption and things like that...put the child up for adoption and let someone else who understands and values life to raise that child to its full potential.

No it is not. God gave us free will because He wanted us to use it. Yes, taking the life of an unborn child is wrong, but there are always so many different circumstances with that situation. A woman should be able to choose, just like a person has the right to choose whether they with rob a store or not. It's just a matter of whether abortion should be considered a crime or not. It's a very gray area.

No, because it is always about the free will of the person who has to make the choice. Stating your Christian standpoint simply makes them aware that there may be other options and choices... and that God views this as murder, with moral consequences. Ask someone who has had one how they felt about their decision. It changes you.

Abortion is a choice.... choose life!

Yes.....
All life is sacred from conception to natural death. That child has no choice and is only a glob of tissue in the mother is the argument to defend abortion. As a mother I know that both of my sons had a personality before they left my body. They were their own person, so not only will I speak out for another human in need that is outside the womb someone has to speak out for the little ones inside the womb. I never have bombed any clinics and a true Pro Life supporter would not because all life is sacred.
Peace be with you.

I agree with you....

There are too many gray areas...life or health of the Mother...rape, incest....

So, I think the choice should be between the Mother and her God.

I do wish people would be more responsible from the beginning and the abortion issue would be fairly moot if people would choose to use contraception in the beginning....

I think it is terrible when people use abortion as a form of contraception....I think all will answer for their deeds.

No. It means you believe it is wrong but that is your personal opinion and you don't want to force what you feel onto others.

I am like you. I personally hate the idea of abortion but I am adamantly pro choice because I have seen back alley abortions gone wrong. Abortion will occur whether it is legal or not so as much as I hate it, I do believe that women should have the choice.

No. I agree with a person's right to choice but would never use abortion for a form of birth control.

Does your neighbor have a right to chose to kill you if you are against murder but for a person's right to chose?

Anyway I would just suggest you take the stance I do for gay marriage.... I am morally against it but I do not want to become a totalitarian, so I chose never to vote to support it but neither do I attempt to ban it, put restrictions on it, etc. That way, as a Christian, I am not supporting what I think is sin, and conversely by trying to ban it I do not become oppressive. I do not support it, I am personally against it, but I will not go on a Crusade to eliminate it from the face of the earth.

I am with you to a point.
I know that abortion is a concious decision to end the life of another and therefore, it is murder.
But, do I want the laws reversed when abortion has been legal in the US since 1973? No, I don't. It is between that individual and God. I am no one's judge.
Bombing abortion clinics is a crime, and I do not side with those who think they are justified in those types of actions.
