The statement assumes that the Bible can not be doubted.
I do however believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God,"Personally".

I believe the Bible is indeed the word of God but the rest of that quote is just plain silly and does nothing but give detractors reason to dismiss scripture. Not to mention the fact that it is circular reasoning. "The Bible is true because the Bible says so." Circular reasoning.
It is perfectly possible to determine the divine inspiration of the Bible by the use of logic, reason, study and research and there is no reason to resort to fallacious arguments or to profess blind-as-a-bat faith.

The argument is unsound.
It asks us to assume that the Bible is the word of God and that the word of God cannot be doubted.
Implicit in that is the assumption that there is a God.
I reject all three assumptions, and thus I do not find the argument compelling.

It is not a fallacy, the whole thing is a just wrong. The bible is not the word of anyone other than the primitive sheep herders who wrote it.

False premise; the Bible isn't the word of God. It is the word of humans supposedly inspired by God.

Your statements are circular logic that is an immensely simplified explanation of what you seem to think Christians believe.
The Bible is an amazing document...and we're not mindless fools who believe cause it tells us to. At least most of us are not.

Logical inconsistencies. Fallacy.
(and, seriously, a gross misrepresentation of the majority of Christian's positions re: the Bible)
Still a Christian.

BTW, dig the name. Did you finish your dissertation at Oscar Meyer U? I completed mine at the Academy of Christ ...
I agree with Bonsai Bob. The mystery of God's logic is only revealed through faith in Jesus Christ. And only when you believe in Jesus, then your presumptions and confusion about the Word of God will be settled with new spiritual discernment.
Good luck with your search to settle this question.
God Bless You!

The second premise is not true; it can be doubted. But the conclusion is of course valid and sound if the first premise is true. It isn't begging the question unless one wishes to reject the first premise.
