Yes, although I wouldn't do it too often (why would anybody want to).

The beer will NOT get Skunked

Skunked is when the beer has been exposed to ultraviolet light for a period of time. Hop-derived molecules, called isohumulones, are basically ripped apart. Some of these parts bind with sulfur atoms to create that “skunk” character, which is similar in character to a skunk's natural defense and is such a potent compound that parts-per-trillion can be detected and even ruin a beer. Although brown bottles aid in protecting beer from being light-struck, it hardly makes the beer invincible. Green or clear bottles provide little to no protection. And it's been said that bottled beer can become light-struck in less than one minute in bright sun, after a few hours in diffuse daylight, and in a few days under normal fluorescent lighting.

I'm a merchandiser for a major cookie company. I run in to all the beer guys, bread guys, soda guys. I walked past one of the beer guys not too long ago and heard him muttering about something. He told me that he had found several cases of beer in the back room of the store, that had previously been "on ice" . I asked if that was a problem and he said a definite YES! So keep your cold beer COLD. If it gets warm and you re-chill it, you loose the quality.

As long as the beer is not sitting out in the sun, it is OK to re-chill your beer. Not much will happen to it.

Beer becomes skunky when it is exposed to the sun's rays. That's why most beer comes in dark drown bottles, to filter out the sun.

Skunking is not caused by keeping beer at varying temperatures!!!

It's caused when the hop acids are introduced to ultra violet light and that's it!!

What happens when you do that is the beer becomes "skunked". If you purchase it cold then you want to keep it cold. If you purchase it warm, however, you can keep it warm until you refrigerate it, then you must keep it cold. Think of it as some of those things that say refrigerate after opening.

Noooooo! The result is 'skunking'. It alters the flavor of the beer, and gives it a funky, skunky gross taste. It won't harm you, but it won't taste good.

It better be, because the grocery stores and convenience stores don't always keep it in the refrigerator.
