I've seen some fools around here saying this lately.
It's one thing if you aren't familiar with science beyond the 16th century, but I'm just dying to know where you people get the "disproven" thing.
Please please please show me where this amazing discovery is located. I need a good laugh today.

Regius, I didn't say it. Your peers did. And yes, they are idiots. I agree with you on that.

Sigh. Loud audible sigh. There has never been a credible scientific criticism of darwinian evolution. It has been the backbone of biology for 150 years. All we know about life sciences comes from Darwin. We couldn't understand anything about how an organism reacts with its evironment without evolution.
Won't stop people from making wild claims though. Best to ignore them. Religious people are often indifferent to the subject of "proof."

Can you point me to where it is proven? It still is only a theory or a myriad of theories that contradict:
The laws of chance and probability
The first and second law of thermodynamics ~(biogensis and entropy)
Oh and those fossil records that prove it:
Neanderthal man and the pitdown man which were once the bedrock of evolution both proved to be hoaxes.

Banana banana banana!
Um, yeah. You'll find proof that evolution is wrong right next to the proof that the world is flat and the proof that the moon is made of green cheese.
Regius is wrong, by the way. You *can* prove that X did not happen (often, anyway). Proving that Y does not exist is what is problematic.

I can show you 100% physical proof that evolution does exist, but trying to find evidence it doesnt is much harder. Oh yea, the physical proof Im talking about is the 95% complete missing link skeleton they found in Africa connecting homo sapiens to homo whatever came before us. Try disprooving that

"The notion that the diversity of life arose through random mutation and natural selection is neither an empirical fact nor a scientific theory, but rather a groundless conjecture based on weak, inferential methods of backward extrapolation through eons of unobserved time over unknown conditions.
According to Darwin's own criteria in Origin of Species, he himself would have rejected evolution based on today's knowledge of the fossil record. Even the most modern formulations of Darwinian evolution have been shown to be impossible, based on unchallenged statistical models of molecular genetics, as well as the irreducible biochemical complexity of all physiological processes."
This is a sampling of a much larger treatment of the subject which is to be found at the link below.

Gravity, photosynthesis, crystallization, evolution... They're all lies!
From BobbyJim: "In order to disprove something, doesn't it need to be proven first?"
Oh, the irony!

I'm confused by your question...
In order to disprove something, doesn't it need to be proven first? Or, shall we say this:
The fact that Darwin's Theory of Evolution remains a theory, just tells us that all the evidence is not yet "in." It is neither proven as factual, nor disproven.

"It's only a theory!"
"It's a lie cooked up by heathen scientists!"
"God created everything, evolution must be false!"
